The Toast Rack, (the Hollings Building), is a Modernist structure in Manchester, England.
Completed in 1960 as the Domestic Trades College, it became part of Manchester Polytechnic, then Manchester Metropolitan University, until closure of the campus in 2013.
Designed by the city architect, Leonard Cecil Howitt, it is known as the Toast Rack due to its distinctive form, which reflects its use as a catering college.
The architecture critic Nikolaus Pevsner described the building as "a perfect piece of pop architecture".
It was Grade II listed in April 1998 by English Heritage who describe the structure as, "a distinctive and memorable building which demonstrates this architect's love of structural gymnastics in a dramatic way".
A semi-circular restaurant block is attached to the west and is informally known as the "Poached Egg".
Manchester Metropolitan University left their Hollings campus in 2013 as they consolidated their facilities towards the city centre.
The building is awaiting redevelopment.

Cuộc sống là 1 con đường dài mà ai cũng phải bước…và…trên con đường dài đó sẽ có nhiều chông gai, thữ thách, cám dỗ ….mà chúng ta phải trải qua!
Bây giờ mình đã hiểu đôi khi phải biết nhìn xuống ! Nhìn những số phận, những mảnh đời thật sự kém may mắn…!
Cuộc sống này rất ngắn ngủi….Đêm nay,mình có thể đang ngồi đây viết des,những em bé đang lang thang sợ lạnh và tìm chỗ ngủ, những bạn trẻ đang tuyệt vọng và chán đời vì 1 lí do nào đó..nhưng…ngày mai, có thể chúng ta sẽ chết….bao nhiêu dự định, ước mơ sẽ không còn …… vì vậy hãy sống = tất cả, mỗi ngày sống là 1 điều quý báu mặc dù ngày đó thì rất tệ ! …..
Hãy cứ nghĩ…tất cả sẽ qua thôi …hãy kết thúc những ngày tệ đó = 1 giấc ngủ say và sớm!
Hãy cứ cười dù bạn gặp khó khăn…có lẽ lúc đó nụ cười đó là nụ cười giã tạo và trống rỗng….nhưng nó có thể làm đầu bạn cảm thấy sản khoái…và bạn sẽ nhìn mọi việc bằng con mắt khác….khi ấy nụ cười của bạn sẽ khác….
Hãy làm thật nhiều điều ý nghĩa trong cuộc sống hằng ngày của bạn…!
Hãy cứ cho đi và đừng mong nhận lại …
Hãy sống thật ý nghĩa khi bạn đang có thể sống………
Dù biết sẽ rất khó!

hey guys! i made a facebook page and it would be really really great if you could go like it.
also, i did a shoot with katie and evan yesterday and it was pretty awesome. we were originally planning on going to a carnival, but the rain ruined our plans so we did some night photography instead. i think it's really different for me, so look at for those soon! also, check out evan's stream or you're missing out.

A single moment, somewhere in everything there is a certain emotion.
When you have such kind of landscape in front of your eyes there is very little you can do wrong. My only merit was to have walked in the mug with my tripod and my camera, all the rest came by its own!
As long as the sun continued his trip to the other side of the world the sky become progressively more red and dark, leaving the stage to the blue hour. But this shot was taken not far from the sunset.
I love how red and blue mix together, and the lights in the sanctuary had just been lit.
Notice also the long queue of people enjoying the panorama!

It's often about the simple things, isn't it? Painting and photography are first about seeing, they say. Writing is about observing. Technique is secondary. Sometimes the simple is the most difficult.
