Whitby Goth Fest 2013
As we were walking through the Graveyard at St. Mary's Church in Whitby we heard a bit of a commotion behind a crypt.
Apparently a big bloke with a nickle plated colt in his hand was arguing with this bloodsucking vampire girl about whether or not a bullet would be enough to dispatch her back to whence she came. Anyway to cut a long story short - it was and the bloodsucker lost.
Love the bodice - I can really see the sense in not wanting to smash a wooden stake right through it thereby destroying her black, beating heart and in the process ruining the needlework. That would have been just too much.
(Just in case the girl in the pic sees this. Email me if you want me to take it down. Regarding the hole and blood, I added them as an after thought. The girl was laying on the floor, void of bullet hole and blood posing for a bunch of togs, this is an in-between poses shot - just before she stretched and moaned about the cold floor)

GBRf Class 66, 66 782, wearing the GBRf Charity Railtours branding (not that they seem to need much advertising!) hauls the 6S94 china clay slurry tanks north through Acton Bridge on their way to Irvine Caledonian Paper.
66782 (formerly 66046) was the first of the ten "GBOB" Class 66s acquired from DB Cargo to be repainted into its new owner's colours.

The promised morning of clear skies was broken, as can be seen here as 92037 passes Grange Farm with 6M76 Mossend-Wembley, empty china tanks. 25th July 2014. It was game over just a few minutes after this.......
GB Railfreight Class 92, 92033 leads classmate 92018 along with 66722 "Sir Edward Watkin" (both DIT) through an icy Hartford on 6O74 17:55 Irvine Caledonian Paper to Dollands Moor.
These were the empty china clay slurry tanks from the loaded train that ran a day late on Thursday 17th December and presented an opportunity to move the two 92s south to Wembley.
The positioning move to reduce the number of 92s in Scotland with the sleeper back down to one train in each direction per night, and also to facilitate 018’s onward transfer to Crewe ETD the following day for attention.
The 92s had earlier ran from Polmadie to Carlisle on 0M05.
66722 worked the train from the paper mill in Irvine to Carlisle and would also take the tanks onwards to Dollands Moor after the 92s came off at Wembley.
This was the first time since the night of 23rd August 2018 that a 92 had worked the china clays on the WCML (038 working 6M74 from Carlisle to Wembley on that occasion). Once a regular haunt of the Dysons, the flow is now the preserve of 66s, with the loaded train going via the (unwired) Settle & Carlisle route.

After a long day at work, Mr. Rabbit likes to relax in his favorite chair with some Silver Bullet. That makes him happy.
You will definitely be seeing more of Mrs. Rabbit in the future!
Thanks for your interest in the series.
Thanks Elissa! You were awesome!

A glance back to 3rd April 2009. Probably the worst photo I took of this working, but this was the first time I had seen it in 2009, and the later timing of the working did not help! 92013 heads 6O60 15:55 Bescot-Dollands Moor conveying empty china tanks. The train is photographed approaching Long Buckby.

211293 In pre gen days I was standing at Lostwithiel waiting on something to come from Par,suddenly the gates go down, signal off, nothing due,so what can it be.....running about 5 hours late......37671 and 37670 head the returning Irvine to Burngullow silver bullets.I was totally miffed at not getting a decent shot of this pretty rare event but it doesn't look so bad now!
66745 "Modern Railways, The First Fifty Years" comes off Lunds Viaduct with 6S94 04:28 Wembley to Irvine Caledonian Paper loaded china clay slurry. 23/5/2018. It was nice to have this in the bag after only a couple of weeks of running via the S&C.
The heavyweight loaded china clay tanks on Wednesdays-only working from Dollands Moor to Irvine Caledonian Paper (6S94) head towards Acton Grange Junction. GB Railfreight's special "Night and Day" livery Class 66, 66720 is in charge at the head of the 20 wagons.

The HP Firenza was launched at the 1973 British Motor Show to rave reviews, and plans for mass market production and target price below £ 2000, which was sensational for such a car. But by lauch the oil crisis and production difficulties had taken their toll, resulting in slow production and esculating costs lrunning the list price up to £ 2271, still decent money for the car but with the slow lead in basically killing profits, the model ceased after only 204 cars had been built.
The HP Sportshatch did take up the slack utilising the special wheels, and with the same droopsnoot nose cone, but as good as they were the model was never pushed by Vauxhall and was dropped after less than 200 had been built. (Both models are very very desirable and collectable today.
The Silver Bullet is a one off project by chief designer Wayne Cherry and his team at the Design ProductProgramme 2111, combining the HP Firenza Coupe and Sportshatch concepts. The car is powered by a HP Firenza 2279cc engine, but with Bosch fuel injection, producing around 150bhp, the five speed ZF gearbox was replaced by a Gertrag unit. The unique interior has black leather with tartan trim seats, thick red pile carpet and a fixed glass roof window, improved centre console and instrumentation. The bonnet has two air ducts to the rear and the drivers side has NACA air ducting vent for the iol cooler
The Silver Bullet was used by Wayne Cherry as his personal car until he began using another of the project cars, the Black Magic Chevette, both project cars along with a prototype Droop Snoot Firenza were rescued after 18 months of negotiation by Vauxhall emplyee Stuart Stringer, from the roof ot the defunct Vauxhall Styling Department. He kept and restored Black Magic, while Silver Bullet went to Droop Snoot experts the Lindsay brothers and the Firenza prototype to the founding President of the DSG Group, who still owns it. Silver Bullet is now owned by an enthusiast who also owns and has restores the Silver Aero Concept

ADDITIONAL NOTES.
This vehicle is one of the second batch of tanks used on the famous 'Silver Bullets' working from Cornwall to Scotland. They were introduced new in 2003 to replace the original 'silver bullets' which were code 70 UIC registered French built tanks. They carry the owning lease companies logo NACCO 'North American Car Co' which still operate them although now badly faded. These tanks carried the Imerys logo from new as EEC (English China Clays) was bought out by the French multinational in 1999. The logo has been recently ground off as the tanks are now on hire to Omya UK Ltd. Most of these 30 tank wagons went into storage after the Cornwall to Scotland flow finished a few years back and the more French registered tanks came into use on an Antwerp, Belgium to Irvine, Scotland flow. The NACCO owned tanks went into open storage at Burngullow in Cornwall hence their now shabby appearance with many green with mildew or stained brown. Omya UK Ltd has taken a number of them on hire from March 2012 to supplement the French registered Swiss owned Ermewa tanks used on the Aberdeen to Workington and Aberdeen to Irvine flows carrying calcium carbonate slurry.
37420 'The Scottish Hosteller' & 37417 'Highland Region' catch a glimpse of sun as they climb away from Respryn towards Bodmin Parkway with 6S55 – 09:50 Burngullow – Irvine tanks on Sunday 8th March 1992.
91115 heads north into York station with a late running King's Cross - Edinburgh service, wearing the logos of newly nationalised London North Eastern Railway (LNER) over the Virgin East Coast house colours.

A40 was one of only two buses to be bodied by Saunders Roe (SARO) for Liverpool Corporation. SARO was a firm from Beaumaris, on the Isle of Anglesey, that had its origins in boat building but had got involved with the manufacture of aircraft during the Second World War. During the early 1950s, SARO diversified into building bus bodies and even secured a large order with London Transport for double deck bodies on RT chassis.
A39 & A40 were part of the order for 100 AEC Regent IIIs, the other 98 receiving Crossley bodies (60 of them completed at Corporation's Edge Lane Works). All these buses were fitted with the AEC A218 9.6 litre engines and synchromesh gearboxes.
The SARO bodies were built mainly out of aluminium instead of the usual steel and wood that most builders used at this time. This method of construction gave a weight saving of almost a ton compared to the Crossley bodied examples, and did not suffer from as much body corrosion as the steel bodies - but their initial purchase cost was greater.
A40 entered service from Prince Alfred Road garage in November 1954 and became known as "The Silver Bullet" due to the fact that it was entirely unpainted (not because of its top speed!).
A further 17 buses (on both AEC and Leyland chassis) were delivered over the next few years in this mainly unpainted form as part of an ongoing experiment to compare the cost savings of not painting buses. Other operators around Britain also tried out the unpainted look but it was soon found that the initial savings on not painting the bus were soon exhausted by the additional effort in keeping the vehicles clean and presentable, especially when repairing accident damage.
When new, A40 was totally unpainted externally (apart from its wheels) but, to improve its appearance and to make it more visible in the fog at the time, it received a green band between the decks in 1956. Around the same time it also lost the front upper saloon opening windows.
In May 1964 A40 was transferred to Edge Lane garage where it remained until being transferred to Speke in November 1970. It passed to the Merseyside Passenger Transport Executive (MPTE) on its formation in December 1969. A40 was the last remaining former Liverpool Corporation AEC Regent III still in service when it was withdrawn at the beginning of May 1974. The vehicle's significance was acknowledged by the MPTE, and A40 became the first of many vehicles to be donated to the Mersey & Calder BPG by the MPTE, a practice continued right up to the last days of the MPTE owning vehicles.
During the many years that A40 has been in preservation it has appeared at numerous rallies throughout the country and it has also appeared in a few TV programmes and films.
To this day, the SARO body is a credit to its manufacture, with it suffering from very little corrosion, something that cannot be said about its Crossley-bodied cousins!
A40 has been part of the Merseyside Transport Trust Collection since its formation in May 1999. Over recent years, some remedial work has been carried out to the platform bearer and the lower saloon and some of the non-standard window rubber it carries has been sourced. Once some of the current projects have been completed, A40 will be brought back into the restoration programme.
Please see www.mttrust.co.uk for more information on the Merseyside Transport Trust
Once the bubbles were gone and the clock said 12:23 am, I realized I was free to try a copycat of redjade75's day 18 toes.
It was also an excuse to stay in the tub a little longer.
