42 of the 2000 class Railmotors were built for Queensland Railways between 1956 and 1971 with some built by Commonwealth Engineering at Rocklea while others by Queensland Rail at Ipswich.

19 of the class still survive, many in preservation including some at Zig Zag rail in NSW , as well at the regular Savannahlander from Cairns.

On 11-11-07, 2004 is stabled at the Rockhampton Railway station , the railmotor entering service on 14-7-1960 was then used by Queensland Rail as a track inspection car and later passed on to Aurizon for the same role.

These are the China Clay slurry (Kaolin) bogie tanks that (for the return journey) have originated at the Caledonian Paper Mill at Irvine in Scotland, returning to be loaded in Belgium.

The train is possibly the furthest travelling freight service in the UK, and works Irvine-Carlisle, Carlisle-Wembley, Wembley - Dollands Moor and finally Dollands Moor - Belgium via the Channel Tunnel.

Another classic Cathay Pacific Cargo scheme that I would love to see come back on a CX 747-8F. Calling this one the "Silver Bullet."

Transrail branded 60035 'Florence Nightingale' had charge of the TTHO 6S55 09:40 Burngullow to Irvine clay slurry (Kaolin Slurry) train recorded emerging from Newport Old Tunnel on the Down Relief approach to Alexandra Dock Junction Yard. The tag 'silver bullets' was somewhat historical by the time this image was taken, those NACO TEA tanks having weathered a great deal while in service.

It’s those little things that truly make life wonderful. Don’t take them for granted!: a little mansion by the ocean, a little yacht, a little silver Ferrari, a little fortune…

Blessed are those who expect nothing, for they will never be disappointed.

Felices los que nada esperan, porque nunca serán defraudados.

Somewhere along the way the budget for keeping these wagons clean got lost, so they quickly turned to Railway Manky Grey. Relatively new St.Blazey import 37668 in petroleum sector branding leads old hand 37669 on the 6S55 up Teignmouth sea wall, 11th April 1995.

Silver Bullets was the name given to the ICA wagons that move China Clay Slurry by rail, due to the fact that when new and clean they have a mirror like finish. However, nothing stays clean for long on the railway and after a few months hard slog from one end of the country to the other, and slurry spilling onto the wagon sides when loading, they soon took on a weathered appearance.

Thankfully, Dapol have offered the wagons not only in pristine condition but as murky, weathered examples too, meaning prototypical scenes can be recreated with a rake of minging wagons.

Here we have one such wagon behind a Heljan Class 33 locomotive which has received a light dusting with an airbrush to recreate that 'lived in' look.
