Silent geometries for a deafening everyday life
The silence of a photograph does not show the deafening noise of the whirlpools within us.

Here is Johnny's Silent cop NOT Copper!
A silent cop, also referred to as a "sleeping policeman" or a "traffic dome", is a traffic management device formerly widely used in Australia. It consisted of a metal or concrete dome, about 400 mm (16 in) wide and about 125 mm (5 in) tall, embedded in the road surface. They were usually painted yellow and often decorated with retro-reflective glass beads or "cats eyes". The name has its origins from the Northern Beaches area of Sydney and was derived from the early days of motoring when policemen would be deployed at busy street corners to direct traffic, before traffic signals became widespread.
Silent cops were placed in the middle of street intersections at cross roads, and turning drivers were expected to drive around one, keeping it to the right of the vehicle when turning right or left. They were also placed in the centre of the terminating street at T-intersections to force drivers turning in or out of the street to be on the correct side of the road rather than cut the corner.
The use of "silent cops" has been phased out in Australia, due to changes in the recommended method of performing turns (the introduction of the diamond turn at signalised intersections), and the hazard they posed to motorcyclists and pedestrians.
This photo of the entrance of the cathedral of the assumption of the blessed Virgin Mary, in Gozo, was taken during mid day. While taking the shot, I decided that, I'll convert into a black and, white.

As the full moon rises over the mountain ridge, the moon's orbit is at its closest approach (perigee) making this full moon a "supermoon". The dark areas on the moon remind me of a face, of Edvard Munch's famous expressionist artwork called "The Scream".

Silent Path, Hilly Road To Al Baha, Saudi Arabia, Photo taken from Ragadan Park, Al Baha, Saudi Arabia

I admit it, i am addicted to textures..i included the original photo below. I like them both, they each have a unique personality. The winter has been so beautiful here, the trees were coated with frost and the sky was foggy..so surreal.
Silent night, holy night,
All is calm, all is bright
Round yon virgin mother and Child.
Holy infant, so tender and mild,
Sleep in heavenly peace,
Sleep in heavenly peace.
This Blythe doll is Ice Rune.
Holy Night,
All is Calm,
All is Bright.
A peaceful Christmas to you all.
A Sliders Sunday Christmas Eve.

This tree was killed by the last eruption of the volcano at Sunset Crater around 1000 AD. Ten centuries later, still stands as a silent witness of better times.

I had been sitting on my foam pad in the tall shore vegetation for some time without any visitors coming near my spot when suddenly, about a dozen Least Sandpipers flew in and foraged along the muddy beach right in front of me. As I recall, this little guy was checking out the weird clicking noise caused my camera shutter.
I kept perfectly still and completely silent except for my shutter click, which was set on quiet mode, and I never did scare them away. They busily foraged the area in front of my natural blind and then took off as suddenly as they came, leaving me with lots of gorgeous pictures to enjoy.

Silent Strength: This is Karen, my wife, my best friend, my lover, and we recently celebrated 33 years of marriage.
A few weeks ago, Karen was diagnosed with cancer. Talk about a kick in the nuts...we never saw this coming.
The next few months are going to be difficult...but we'll get through this.
Merry Christmas to all of you. I hope the day, and the season, has brought all of you great joy.
It was a silent night on the Niles Canyon Railway. After an evening chasing the Train of Lights, the heavy overcast departed, allowing a near full moon to shine on the countryside. It also provided the best backdrop against the vulnerable semaphores guarding Sunol. Yes, the signal indication was not correct for the signal indication, but hey, it worked!

within the arches of plaça major, the interplay of light and shadow reveals a quiet scene. a solitary figure leans against the ancient stone pillar, lost in thought or perhaps a moment of solitude. the texture of the weathered stone tells tales of centuries past, while the shadows create a canvas of introspection. this black and white image captures the essence of silent conversations with history, a fleeting moment in the heart of palma de mallorca.
