It's a narrow bend of the black water creek in the Kleinwalsertal. It's fantastic to see the sunlight breaking through the trees. The mossy green of the rocks in the creek shines bright amid the dark looking water.

It's hard to believe just how many spiders inhabit the world around us. All it takes is a hike through the woods to find out! Have any of you ever walked face-first into a web? With my fear of spiders, you can believe that when I hit one of those... I can shatter the silence for miles around! LOL! But as much as I despise spiders on me, I can certainly appreciate their purpose here on Earth and in some cases, even their beauty.
The silent treatment is a refusal to communicate verbally with another person. People who use the silent treatment may even refuse to acknowledge the presence of the other person.
It can sometimes be a form of emotional abuse. This is the case when one person uses it to control and manipulate the other.
In most cases, using the silent treatment is not a productive way to deal with a disagreement.
Research indicates that both men and women use the silent treatment in relationships.
Just playin around with some tutorials...
For the record baby, I'm a sucker for bald guys...You look HAWT like this!!! <3
The Silent City from Inspiration Point - Bryce Canyon National Park - Utah
Camping overnight so that I could capture a sunrise from this overlook; the only other thing that was necessary was just a short walk to the spot where I took this image. However, there was one other thing I remember about this particular morning. It rivaled one bitter morning in the Tetons, for the coldest moment I have experienced. On this morning, with the culmination of fierce winds and standing at 8100 feet above sea level, it was not long before I was back in my car with the heat blasting.

One of my favorite animals to see at Dauset Trails Nature Center is this female cougar. She usually sits in the back of her enclosure where she can keep a watchful eye on all her surroundings.
The sun was out on this winter morning and warming things up a bit, making it feel more springlike than winter. She sat there, just soaking in the sun's warmth, with this great look of serenity on her face. Perhaps feeling the beginnings of a cat nap coming on.

The silent people is an artwork originally by Reijo Kela. It consists of about a thousand peat-headed figures that are reclothed twice a year.
Silently watching my sweet silent buoy
over golden stitched ripples of riparian waves
though unnatural colours
Blend in with hushed charm
your bangles of safety
adorn reaching arms
through tree lined embankments
and boatbuilders cries
your bright orange cloak
rarely catches our eyes
so thank you for standing out cold
winters days
and waiting there patiently
through midsummer haze .
