At its height as an industrial giant, Bethlehem Steel employed thousands of area men and women and formed the backbone of the local economy in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and much of the Lehigh Valley region. The company filed for bankruptcy in 2001 after years of decline and lost business to foreign steel producers. The legacy that is left can be viewed from the Hoover-Mason Trestle today.

Another image of the Barn Owl which I started to photograph back in February of this year, its just amazing to watch these birds hunting. How these Owl's just hang in the air so silent & effortlessly is just a wow factor for me.
The Silent Valley Reservoir is located in the Mourne Mountains in Northern Ireland. It supplies most of the water for County Down as well as most of Belfast. The reservoir was built between 1923 and 1933 by a workforce of over one thousand men, nine of whom died.
Real action is in silent moments.

Su curso se estanca a veces en grandes remansos llamados «tablas», donde pueden apreciarse especies de flora: Nenúfar, Nymphaea alba, junquillo, Narcissus jonquilla, y fauna: Martín pescador, Alcedo atthis, Nutria, Lutra lutra, Tritón ibérico, Triturus boscai. Lo que indica la alta calidad de sus aguas y el buen grado de conservación de su entorno.
La morfología del río es dendrítica, y tenía un trenzado o anastomosamiento que fue modificado por encauzamiento para aprovechamiento agrícola.
El régimen del río es estacional y presenta crecidas mantenidas de caudal en los momentos de fuertes precipitaciones, generalmente en invierno o primavera.
En este territorio se encuentra el «Acuífero 22, o Detrítico -Pliocuaternario».

That is actually exactly how it felt out there on the field with a very big and bright moon as only company. The silver light is really magic
sometimes I just can't. time taught me patience. time always restores the rythm or creates a new one.
I wanted to share my latest painting “Silent Reflections” with you. I've been trying to focus on creating images that evoke a sense of peace and tranquility, to help calm the mind and serve as a visual retreat of sorts.

"Silent Prayer" 2016
Als Landschaftsfotograf habe ich schon einige schöne und eindrückliche Momente erleben dürfen. Viele von diesen Momente, wenn nicht alle, werde ich sicher nie mehr vergessen. Welche Momente und Erlebnisse zu den schönsten zählen und welche mich am meisten beeindruckten, dass kann ich ehrlich gesagt nicht so einfach sagen. Jeder einzelne Moment war und ist auf seine Weise einzigartig und bleibt unvergessen. Doch ist sicher dieser Morgen am Cinque Torri vom letzten Sommer einer der eindrucksvollsten in den letzten paar Jahren. Für mich sind diese Türme schon alleine ein "Wahnsinns-Motiv" und ein einzigartiger Spielplatz für Fotografen. Doch wenn erst noch das Licht mitspielt, so wie an diesem Morgen, da bleibt man fast nur noch von Ehrfurch stehen und staunt über dieses einzigartige Naturschauspiel. Viel habe ich mir erhofft oder erträumt von dieser Location - doch nie im Traum hatte ich erwartet oder geofft eine solche Stimmung vorzufinden. Was glaubt ihr, wie ich und Adrian Wirz uns gefühlt haben und angeschaut haben, als wir diese Stimmung mit dem Nebel an diesem Morgen erblickt haben. Einfach nur "WOW"!!! Dieser Morgen werde ich nie vergessen - vorallem auch nicht, weil er so wenig versprechend angefangen hat. Der Titel für mich deswegen mehr als nur passend für diesen Moment: "Silent Prayer"

This old Live Oak sits in front of the ruins of Windsor near Port Gibson MS. Units of Grants army marched eastward after their crossing of the Mississippi on the dirt road beyond the tree. Ahead of them the Battle of Port Gibson and the first shots of the Vicksburg Campaign. This tree would have been a silent witness to their passing.
