A brightly glowing full moon on a silent night 10 days ago by the Christian Science Center Plaza and reflecting pool (with holiday lights in the trees ringing the pool). With Reflection Hall on the right and the Mother Church on the left. Reflection Hall is one of a trio of Brutalist buildings designed by Araldo Cossutta of I. M. Pei & Associates ringing the reflecting pool. Back Bay, Boston.

the main water supply source for most of County Down and South Belfast - probably about half a million people. It supplies about 130 million litres of water every day.
It is pretty big and its water comes from a catchment of about 9000 acres (3600 hectares) and rainfall in the mournes is over 1.5 metres per year.
The reservoir was constructed in a natural valley in the mournes during the years 1923 to 1933 by a workforce of over 1,000 men, nine of whom died during construction.
The reservoir is part of the Silent Valley Mountain Park which is an amenity park open for visitors and hikers with a car park and toilet/tearoom facilities.

The silent treatment is a refusal to communicate verbally with another person. People who use the silent treatment may even refuse to acknowledge the presence of the other person.
It can sometimes be a form of emotional abuse. This is the case when one person uses it to control and manipulate the other.
In most cases, using the silent treatment is not a productive way to deal with a disagreement.
Research indicates that both men and women use the silent treatment in relationships.

The Silent City from Inspiration Point - Bryce Canyon National Park - Utah
Camping overnight so that I could capture a sunrise from this overlook; the only other thing that was necessary was just a short walk to the spot where I took this image. However, there was one other thing I remember about this particular morning. It rivaled one bitter morning in the Tetons, for the coldest moment I have experienced. On this morning, with the culmination of fierce winds and standing at 8100 feet above sea level, it was not long before I was back in my car with the heat blasting.

The New Church is a landmark Protestant church in Delft, the Netherlands. The building is located on Delft Market Square. In 1584, William the Silent was entombed here in a mausoleum designed by Hendrick and Pieter de Keyser. Since then members of the House of Orange-Nassau have been entombed in the royal crypt. The latest are Queen Juliana and her husband Prince Bernhard in 2004. The private royal family crypt is not open to the public.
