Me, the lake, the mist and the sunrise. No one around, no birds chirping no ducks quacking and no sounds of any kind. Just silent and pur bliss.

E le stelle restano sempre lì, dentro di me, per ricordarmi che siamo esseri sempre più fragili ed effimeri in un cosmo buio, vuoto ed immenso. Piccole comparse nello spazio e nel tempo. Eppure ce ne dimentichiamo, mentre invece dovremmo avere molto più rispetto per questa piccola grande meraviglia che è la vita. Inclusa la nostra.
What's between cleaning and internal tranquility?
Scrubbing, washing, cleaning – my surrounding
as if this action will provide me to a kind
of internal clean. Sort of tranquility.
Scrub more, clean more, move things and re order them
Trying to arrange my inner feeling in vain.
And one day, I realize that I am in a more tranquil state. As if I now
know I am in my element. Where I belong. That I am going
in a way that is right for me and I for it.
And with that – I find that even cleaning is a good and easy tusk.
And its results are right for me.
So I can clean and arrange my life with much more ease.
And it is just fine.
The classic view up the reservoir from the dam wall in Silent Valley Mountain Park in The Mourne Mountains, Northern Ireland. The first stone was laid 100 years ago this month.
Silently...retiring to the room to sleep. Rest body and mind, renewing energy for another day to come...

Silent like it was holding its breath, the only thing moving was this handsome couple who helpfully posed perfectly in almost all my shots. They were a real gift and made some perhaps rather dull shots worth while.
A sharp, straight, and clean geometry points toward efficiency. While old buildings speak of an inherited legacy, modern structures remain silent. The language of the present.

The Silent People in Suomussalmi, Finland.
”This is environmental art by Reijo Kela. Reijo Kela is a freelance dancer, choreographer and performance artist born in Suomussalmi.
There is almost thousand figures that make up the Silent People.
The Silent People found their current home in the autumn 1994.
The Silent People are clothed with new, clean clothes twice a year, at the beginning of the summer and in the autumn. The People also receive new heads straight from the field at the beginning of every summer.
The People receive their clothes as donations. The Silent People are made and clothed by the Suomussalmi Youth Workshop, which also takes care of their maintenance.”
