On the way back from Dad's at Xmas, I found this amusing sign in the bus bathroom. What's it stating with the two implied "male" occupants (based on the top hats)? One of my boyfs came to the realization that it means they prefer you to sit to pee, and not stand. But I still think it suggests that men seem to be having sex with each other in there, or "No Taking a Dump While Mr. Peanut Looks On."

Even though it was 20 below here in MN this morning, one SIGN that Spring is just around the corner are Spring Training games being televised. Its been a long, brutal winter for us here and I am sooo ready for some warm weather and some baseball!

An antique store shopfront in Savannah. It's only open by appointment and for auctions so we couldn't go inside, but the windows are full of signs and memorabilia.

When I was in the London subway system, I saw this amusing sign. It's supposed to say, "Obstructing the doors can be dangerous". Someone strategically scratched off some letters so that it says: "Obstruct the doors - be dangerous".
New road signs have been introduced in the Netherlands since mid-2012 with a white border near the edge of the signs to make them better visible for color blind people.

"'Noboriooji underground sidewalk"
"Noboriooji" (登大路) is the name of the neighborhood. By coincidence, the kanji in this name have alternate readings that could be read to be the same pronunciation as the nearby temple named Todaiji ( 東大寺).
I thought this sign was interesting because of the graffiti on it, it was taken in the cemetary, yes I am the Countess LOL.
The chiefs aboard the nuclear-powered guided-missile submarine USS Ohio (SSGN 726) sign Christmas cards to be sent to other chiefs serving in the Middle East on Individual Augmentee assignments. The chiefs also sent gourmet coffee and cards to help heighten the morale of some junior Sailors serving in the Middle East for the holidays.
Roger bought a 10Ha island (Ile Roger) at one point and introduced some 10 Aye Aye's to the island. Now it's known as Aye Aye island and it's the easiest place to find and see wild Aye Aye's in Madagascar.
Roger is a friendly helpful man, who also runs the Chez Roger hotel in Mananara. They also have a great cook!
This sign once advertised Siegfried and Roy. I saw Siegfried and Roy at the Frontier in 1984, long before they moved to the Mirage, long before the Mirage was even built. Soon, it will be gone like so many of the classic old casinos that gave Las Vegas its character--the Sands, the Desert Inn, the Landmark, and now the Frontier.
Back from Yellowstone, and not yet in a mood to sort through all the pictures I took. I pulled us off into Idaho Falls on the way back to find some lunch and ended up getting a bit lost, so thanks to Mrs. W. and her navigation skillz we got unlost again. But there were a couple of cool things along the way.
This sign is pretty big, and sadly kind of hammered, but the motel was pretty busy and looked to be in good shape.
