At Wolverhampton Station in Wolverhampton.
The current station dates to 1967.
Sign of the station. Last year this was changed to Wolverine (when X-Men: Days of Future Past was coming out).
Some of the signs that were carried during the march
---
The event was a memorial for missing native women.
On the same day, there were memorial events in at least 5 other Canadian cities.
Here's how the day has been described on a web site about these memorial events -
"The March is an opportunity for all cities and communities to come together to grieve the loss of our beloved sisters and remember the women who are still missing. We encourage all women to journey and heal together by organizing memorials on this day because women face physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual violence on a daily basis. Violence against women is always unacceptable; every life is precious and we must continue to honour and work for justice for murdered and missing women."
With afternoon temperatures near 60 here in the mid-Atlantic, the ice on this pond from last week when temps were around the freezing mark during the day has melted.
A sign which looks like it was posted by a concerned citizen when the ice was beginning to melt.
An OPEN sign on the now defunct Arne's Hawaiian Motel where Route 127 joins US 15 at Baker, California. It was once beautifully colored, and some paint remains among the rust and broken bulbs.

This is at the main fan entrance on Speedway Rd (a little county road and the only way in). A little farther up the hill, past some mobile homes is the ticket office and main entrance gates.
One last massive panorama from behind the Hollywood Sign, full view of Los Angeles from one of it's most iconic landmarks.
Ghost sign seen in Southern Belgium- it has been overpainted at least once but just about showed an old Citroen logo and name near the top. 2014
Lovely old 'Cycling prohibited' sign found in South West Birmingham recently- after a 'dry spell' of not finding any old pre-worboys signs, this one and another similar variation both turned up within a few days- within a mile of each other- and on roads that i frequently use, just showing how easily things can pass you by!

is the other one
(moved from the Taco Bell, final days set)
Although standing in complete shadow, reflective glare mercilessly played havoc here. The barely readable delivery note shows good manners: Better be nice to your delivery personnel, LOL! It also confirms that the new Bell has taken on the 1117 address, as expected. The other note shows there was an unexpected 2-days of down time: likely Oct. 21 and 22, 2012.
As for the signage still adorning the old store, I thought by now it would surely have been removed. But around mid afternoon Nov. 1, 2012, it still remained intact. The sign crew is waiting to pounce the minute I give up trying to catch them, I'm sure!
Saw some odd/funny signs whilst in the Isle of Man - each shot on its own is not hugely exciting, so put them together here with various effects/graphics. The two bottom ones were in Laxey, the top one in Port Erin - took me a second or two to register the language wasn't Manx!
"Forbidden to jump off the bridge. Municipal law of august 4th, 1993. Four deaths and six gravely injured since 2004".
Gravity can be a real killer, if used properly. They don' t mention the statistics before 1993 and until 2004. Maybe the sign would be too small.
A picture from a sign, standing by the lynx enclosure at Tiergarten Nurnberg.
It shows the visitors, that the three lynxes came from Wildpark Pforzheim.

The Miss Florence Diner has some classic diner signage. The Silk City sign advertises a relatively new bar located behind the diner, which is confusingly a Worcester model and not a Silk City. Perhaps there was silk manufacturing at some of the mills in the area.
I spotted these signs of Fall the other day (the road signs and the leaves too).
The road signs were previously hidden by the undergrowth but now that the leaves have fallen they are suddenly visible again.
It is good timing too, as the deer are starting to get more excited by the day.
Deer mating season is here and combined with the change in time (Falling back from Daylight Savings time), this is likely to lead to many more chances for car-deer collisions...
