Maori tradition identifies Te Rerenga Wairu as the departure point of the spirits as they begin their final trek back to the ancient homeland of [Hawaiki].* Eating and drinking on the main site are not permitted as this area is sacred.
The famous landmark of the Cape Reinga lighthouse sits on the tip of the Te Paki Recreational Reserves and overlooks the meeting point of the Tasman Sea and the Pacific Ocean.* The Three Kings Islands are faintly visible from the lighthouse in fine weather.

And the fading ghost sign on the Paris Block on West Hastings Street. After decades in the same location Model Express has recently moved their shop a few doors to the East so I'm not sure how much longer the old plastic signage will be up.

i do not know what this writing means, or why it's there, on the massive embankment of a railroad bridge approach, but i want to travel the country, painting neatly cryptic messages on great structures from the past that mean something to others similarly interested.
The huge Coca-Cola sign at the Swedish headquarters in Jordbro. We had a few days with strong winds recently, and earlier in the week I noticed two workers climbing around on the big sign, trying to straightening it up. It seems that they have fixed it now.

I came across some cool signs today. Despite what the signs indicate, I was not at any of those places. A friend just has some interesting stuff hanging around.
Luke now knows sign language for equal. Using sign language to explain human rights to a four year old well, that is another story.

it's supposed to look as though i am the scorpion.. hmm.. not super thrilled with it.. but i ended up processing an outtake from a shoot a few days ago because it was very cloudy today and i just couldn't get outside to take a pic! yes, all my rules have been broken to the 365 :P but i am still going on!

You have to look closely, but if you do you can spot some telltale signs that winter is just around the corner...

I spotted this wonderful sign on a shop doorway in Dartmouth... only the mobile phone number has been altered to protect the innocent.
