A rather low hanging sign for the Polish deli on King George Boulevard in Surrey's Whalley neighbourhood seen back in 2009. The deli is gone now and has been replaced by a restaurant called the Spicy Bowl.

It was pouring with rain last week when I took this. I was trying to get a better picture, but I just got this from the camera and realised that I quite like it!
The sign is in Portland, Oregon. (On the Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway, between Portland and Beaverton). I have no affiliation - I just drive or ride the bus past the sign most days. The sign is located here (via mapquest).

Happy Thursday everyone, and welcome to another triple set of local update uploads! Tonight we’re at the top of Mississippi, hanging around Southaven Towne Center. This photo here isn’t all that recent – in fact, it was taken April 8th, 2017 – but it’s still relevant to what I’m about to show you in the next pic, so that’s why you’re seeing it here tonight.
This is one of the entrance signs to the mall, this particular one at the intersection of Nail Road and Airways Boulevard. (The street sign in the background notes that Nail Road changes its name to Towne Center Loop on this side of Airways, however.) This is the southern entrance to the property. Be sure to pay close attention to how this sign looks here, because as you’re about to see… (cont.)

A rather unusual, and should be unnecessary, sign at the entrance to a restroom in a park around the Fort Loudoun Dam near Lenoir City, Tennessee
the patches and signs on a service dog aren't suggestions - they are absolute commands. were i in a wheelchair or had some other apparatus to aid me in daily life, you wouldn't randomly approach me and start touching it. my dog is cute, friendly, loving, and happy. she is also at work anytime she is wearing her jacket, which is any time we are not at home. feel free to ask me questions, but do not talk to my dog, do not reach out to my dog, do not make and hold eye contact with my dog. she is on the job, and cannot be disturbed. a lot of people's time, effort and money went into her selection and training, all of it charity work. you are the human in the encounter - read the signs, and obey. it will help my dog do her job, which helps me live my life, and you and i can agree that she is cute and friendly without interfering with her purpose and focus.
I always like signs like this, in this case it means that some one has actually cycled right in and across to the cycle department on the far side of the store. Cool!
Halfords isn't a place you'll normally find me in, but I have been given a £25 gift voucher for Christmas. I wasn't impressed with their selection of cycling items, turned around and left. I'll look again another day.
The blossoms are so lush this year it's astounding. But inhere has been a tremendous amount of rain as well. I guess you can't have everything!

Snowy owl visitor resting on a sign on Assateague. Photo isn't the best, as we stayed behind the markers and didn't go into the dunes (as others did later!). Sigh...
As we continued with our walk, we noticed this road sign next to the cycle lane in Copenhagen. We didn't know what it meant at the time, but I have found out that "Daisy signs are placed on Danish roads as part of the Marguerite Route - a nearly 4,000 km itinerary that cuts along Denmark’s most scenic regions and flags more than 200 sights. Created in the 1980s and named after Her Majesty Queen Margrethe’s favorite flower, the Marguerite Route can be accessed from almost anywhere in Denmark.
A whimsical but serious reminder that this is alligator country. It's one of those signs you poke your head through to make it seem like you are some one else, and sits at the entrance to the Leonabelle Turnbull Birding Center.
Sure, we are forecast to get 8”-12” of snow Thursday night into Friday, but the Sandhill Cranes have returned from winter break.
The V sign has a different meaning between every culture, in this picture it means Victory, and the stones referred to the up rising (Intefada in Arabic) movements of the Palestinian against the Israeli occupation.
They defend themselves with stones and raised their hands with the victory sign "V", against soldiers with their guns.

This is the side away from where revelers would first see them. E. Dubuque, Illinois is pretty hilly and abuts the river, There's only one way to really get here and the other side faces that way. E.D. basically was a little like Tia Juana in its day. Anything went.

The reason this photo got taken is because many individuals, myself included, are proud owners of a VP Shunt, and yes, it is a trip. I know many people that contend with one and all are still thriving.
Some people have them installed as small children, some people as teens, and some as adults. Some people say they save lives. Some people are not sure they are worth the trouble. But think of all the fun we'd miss, if one is still able to think at all. It does take work.
