This sign at Kathryn and Brian's wedding notes some of their connectedness in terms of their shared criminal justice careers. Through the window is a view of the beautiful outdoor setting where they were married.

Project Flickr - Week 3 - The Sign Says
Spotted this on the entrance to a rather charming English country house! It made me laugh out loud as we don't have wild Emus roaming about and we don't use km as our measurement. I can only assume the owner or one of his family bought this back as a souvenir whilst on their travels!!

I've tried harder this time to emphasise the texture and feeling of urban decay in this one, I really like the subject and geometry here but I think the super-bright colours on the old version detract a bit from what it should say...
I really liked the bright one before, but I think this version is much more refined :)
Composed of two other signs: Below is the usual iconic sign for side thruster: a propeller placed in a tube from one side of the ship to another.
A side thruster is a specific kind of thruster that cam move the ship sideways. The top symbol tells us that this is another kind of thruster that does the same thing.
This sign is painted (akctually welded) on a vertical surface. The ellipse indicates a circle in the horizontal plane. The arrows are iconic metphors for linear movement. In this case, we have to figure out the the movement is not linear, but rotation around a vertical axis. We must also figure out that this implies that the thruster extends below the bottom of the ship.
First Pizza Hut sign on the campus of Wichita State University. Originally located at Bluff and Kellogg Streets. It was moved to WSU in 1986.

A landmark bar and restaurant 30 miles or so west of Oklahoma City. They sell fried chicken (by the chicken), fried okra, and pseudobeer (this is Oklahoma after all). It attracts both bikers and families, a rather strange mix.
I saw this sign at the pool area and immediately spotted the *Summersaults* and thought it might have been on purpose . . . .
