A moment to pause and observe keenly, before the energy flows again. Willow playing in the water at the Mosman Park beach.
Bumble bees are large, fuzzy insects with short, stubby wings. They are larger than honeybees, but they don't produce as much honey. However, they are very important pollinators. Without them, food wouldn't grow.
Mine arrived yesterday and I must say that I am very happy with her.
Her hair is very stiff (like concrete! ;) but the style is very nice and the gel used is good- you cannot see marks from a hair net, it does not flock and there is none of it on her face.
While some fellow collectors find the fashion and especially the shoes and jewelry in combination with the fluffy dress too edgy, I must say I love it. I mean, hey, who really wants another Sunday dress with flower print for their dolls?? One of the reasons why I nevr got a Tonner doll is that their ensembles are mostly way too conservative for me.
Sightings of hummingbirds were rare on our trip to Puerto Rico so this strikingly beautiful Green Mango was a welcome find in a private garden in the mountains. This large species of hummingbird is endemic to the main island of Puerto Rico. It is usually found in the mountainous regions of the island, often in coffee and other kind of plantations.

Another photo of a leopard that we saw as we were driving around Kruger National Park. We were so lucky on this day with four leopard sightings - 2 on the ground and 2 in trees.
In just over a week we will be in the air on our way to the UK, so I will be slowing down on my South African adventure photos. I will still add some from time to time though - I have so many.
C-GFBR, an Antonov An-2PD-5, several minutes after it crashed at Greenbank Airport (CNP8) at Uxbridge, Ontario.
Soon after taking off at 0940 local, the aircraft experienced a serious oil leak that coated the cockpit windows and negated visibility. Thankfully, the sliding side windows in the cockpit were operable and allowed the highly skilled pilot to return the airplane to the 2,700-foot-long grass strip.
Upon landing at 0953, the aircraft slid uncontrollably (thanks to oil coated tires and wet grass) off the runway and into a culvert before slamming against the embankment.
The 1,000 horsepower radial engine was separated from the big biplane's firewall.

Also, what is your opinion of getty images? I got a message about it a long time ago inviting me to join but I feel like I don't know enough about it to participate. If anyone could give me more insight about it or, if they are/did use it, what they thought about it. If I do add some of my photos to the sight, I'm afraid of where they will end up..
There’s something highly exciting for children about escaping someone else’s sight. Perhaps it is from playing "Boo" when you hold a hand in front of your face then say "boo" as you move the hand away. It often gets a smile from both baby and adult. At an early stage children believe they can not be seen if their eyes are covered as though when two people can not see each others' eyes they become invisible. Does this go on into adulthood? When we don't look at a beggar does that make them invisible?
Maybe I think too much on Sundays?
Yet another Pennsylvania Railroad Heritage Unit sighting after catching it leading in the pouring rain back on May 19, 2017, I got to see it less than two months later in perfect weather heading up NS train 21G (Rutherford, PA to Chicago, IL, BNSF Corwith Yard, stacks, to become BNSF Q NYCLAC) as he flies through downtown Brimfield, Indiana on NS' ex-LS&MS/NYC/PC/CR Chicago Line.
NS 8102 is an ES44AC and was built by GE for NS in February of 2012 as one of their original heritage units.
