Bumble bees are large, fuzzy insects with short, stubby wings. They are larger than honeybees, but they don't produce as much honey. However, they are very important pollinators. Without them, food wouldn't grow.

A full V/Line mark three livered set with N467 head south towards Wallan as train #8330 from Shepparton.
As the V/Line fleet is slowly being updated to the new PTV livery, seeing a full V/Line Mk3 train is gradually becoming less common.

I ran in to this guy in the middle of one of the busiest streets in Stockholm.
Herr Marchi is usually shooting with analogue gear, but this day i caught him using Nikon digital paired with a Sigma zoom.

This is Injidup Beach, which certainly does not disappoint when it comes to being a lovely beach with the setting sun beyond the point.

We sat down around our campfire with friends and good food after a long hard day finding sights we haven't seen before. In fact I have never seen a camp fire like this one before. A perfect end to a perfect day.
The tide necessitated a very early morning departure from Lundy Island, the sun was not yet up and this is what the island looked like about a 1/2 mile off.
A beautiful sight but it was very, very dark......too dark really to capture the scene properly, however, I thought I'd have a go and here is the result.

An unexpected sight today whilst at a beach nr Paignton (South Devon) We were there for at least a half hour before the rain started as you can see from the sky!!
African leopards (Panthera pardus pardus) are one of the two big cats that inhabit the continent of Africa, along with the lion. The cheetah is also sometimes included in the big cat family due to their size, but it is technically not a big cat as it cannot roar.
The leopard has an exceptional ability to adapt to changes in prey availability, and has a very broad diet. Small prey are taken where large ungulates are less common. The known prey of leopards ranges from dung beetles to adult elands, which can reach 900 kg (2,000 lb). In sub-Saharan Africa, at least 92 prey species have been documented in leopard scat including rodents, birds, small and large antelopes, hyraxes and hares, and arthropods. They generally focus their hunting activity on locally abundant medium-sized ungulates in the 20 to 80 kg (44 to 176 lb) range, while opportunistically taking other prey. Average intervals between ungulate kills range from seven to twelve days.
The beautiful Kaboso, female Leopard of Double Cross area was elusive as usual but we did manage to sight her finally early in the morning, coming out of the bushes going towards her resting place. Photographed on an early morning game drive in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, Kenya.
I have not explored my brother-in-law's neighbourhood
for a long while. It had been a hot day but had cooled a
bit so walking with the evening breezes was so nice.
Mostly retired people live in this enclave, so some pretty
gardens and yards to admire plus this beauty.

N918ET, an Embraer EMB-505 Phenom 300E, on taxiway "Golf" at John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport in Mount Hope, Ontario.
The new aircraft was arriving as FWR98 (Flightaware) from Charlotte, North Carolina. It had been delivered from the factory on June 2, 2023.
Yet another Pennsylvania Railroad Heritage Unit sighting after catching it leading in the pouring rain back on May 19, 2017, I got to see it less than two months later in perfect weather heading up NS train 21G (Rutherford, PA to Chicago, IL, BNSF Corwith Yard, stacks, to become BNSF Q NYCLAC) as he flies through downtown Brimfield, Indiana on NS' ex-LS&MS/NYC/PC/CR Chicago Line.
NS 8102 is an ES44AC and was built by GE for NS in February of 2012 as one of their original heritage units.

A DRS move today saw redundant loco's 47805, 20312 & 47790 move from Carlisle to Crewe. Class68 Vossloh 68003 is seen here dragging the locos past Euxton on a very gloomy morning.
One would think this photo was taken in flight from an airplane but actually, I captured this magical moment from my 11th floor apartment window. My window was partially frosted, the temperature outside was deep freeze -25C Windchill overlooking the Toronto skyline. When I focused on the sunrise, the ice turned to brilliant diamonds and a flock of pigeons flew by. To me it is a magical moment. A heavenly sight. Freedom, bliss and warmth.

Not a lot of these wooden elevators left in Kansas. I found this one by accident while searching for directions to a friends farm that we were going to do some fishing at on the 4th of July. From ground level it is mostly obscured by trees and well marked with no trespassing signs. I had my DJI Mavic Pro drone with me and just enough battery life left to send it up to capture some video and still images. Located in Millerton, Kansas.
