It's 7:30 a.m. and I am off for a bike ride!
Let the boatload of work I have wait just a bit!
Whatever it takes, have a rosy day, 'kay? *muah* *muah* << Montreal 2-cheeked kiss :)
I am quite proud to say that my photo is on the cover of this month's Shutterbug magazine (and on page 13).
This watch I made on commission for someone in England. It came out just right.
I build these watches from scratch, the only thing not made by me are the movements because you just can't beat Swiss and Japanese precision. XD
BB with the Duaflex/contraption. He just loves carrying it around taking "pictures" and walking into things. I'm not quite sure if he's got an "eye" like his brother, bc there's never any film in it.
I keep painting portraits of this fantastic Polaroid Pathfinder, over and over. It's a favorite subject.
Art for sale at Page Springs Cellars tasting room, Cornville, AZ.
During a trip to Utah, I introduced my son Colin to digital photography. Yes, he is becoming addicted to it, too, just like the rest of us. Ha! I tell him this addiction is as powerful as cocaine, but a heck of a lot more fun -- and of course it has the advantage of being legal, too.
I introduced him to the noble sport of sunset-hunting, and we found a nice vantage point on the foothills just east of Centerville, which is about 10 miles (16km) north of Salt Lake City. I took three pictures of him experimenting with his mother's camera, and decided this one, taken from an angle, and with Colin sitting between two trees, was the best of them.
Colin is a gifted musician, and has a strong artistic bent. Moreover, he appears to have a natural aptitude for photography, and I suspect you will soon be seeing some of his work right here on Flickr.
Couple of images from my last trip to Yosemite before my surgery...
This was so cute. The parents wanted a picture of themselves so they gave that huge camera to their little boy. I watched as he put it up to his eye, composed and took the shot. Then he checked the screen to make sure it was a keeper. He even asked his parents to pose a few more times to make sure he got the best shot. What a pro!
