Green grass, budding trees and one very macho turkey impressing the ladies.

This watch I made on commission for someone in England. It came out just right.

I build these watches from scratch, the only thing not made by me are the movements because you just can't beat Swiss and Japanese precision. XD

Route 66: Gemini Giant - Wilmington, IL. 20-feet tall Gemini Giant figure at the Launching Pad Drive-In - Wilmington, IL. The Gemini Giant is a former “Muffler Man” and official greeter for the Launching Pad Restaurant. Muffler Men are twenty-plus-feet-tall figures which were once common on American roadsides in the early 1960s. Originally, they stood outside automotive shops, especially muffler specialty shops, where they typically held oversized car mufflers in their outstretched hands. Over the years, some muffler men were re-purposed for duty in other settings. The Gemini Giant is one such example. He has been fitted with a pointed helmet, and he now holds a small rocket in his hands—signifying the Launching Pad cafe.

Lentil Crunchies

1 c lentils (not red)

1 quart water

Cooking spray of your choice (I used olive oil)

¼ tsp onion powder

¼ tsp curry powder

1/8 tsp cayenne pepper

Place water and lentils in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, cover, remove from heat, and let sit for 15 minutes. Drain and spread out on paper towels to dry. Line a cookie sheet with foil. Spray well with cooking spray. Spread out lentils on sheet and give them a light coating of cooking spray. Bake in a 425 degree oven for 15-20 minutes, until crisp, stirring often. Combine seasonings and toss with hot lentils. Cool and store in a airtight container. It's a wonderful little salty snack!
