Still not how I wanted it to turn out but I've had this concept in mind for a while so had to put it out there already
Egg shells cracking, hatching, hatched, still wet, then a couple hours old. I went to take pics of the heron chicks and turned just in time to see the eggs cracking. What a fabulous day!

Herm a small island off the island of Guernsey, Shell Bay a beautiful beach made up entirely of shells, this so takes me back to my childhood.
This Shell station is in Fremont, CA. I don't know if it's the wave of the future or a one time project for this location only. The architect came up with a beautiful wavy, artistic look. When I first drove by, this place grabbed my head, slapped me on the face, and said "Hey, look at me!".
Drove the loop Santa Barbara - Ojai - Carrizo Plain - Morro Bay - Santa Barbara yesterday. Certainly no "superbloom" at Carrizo Plain this year - the condition is best be described as "no bloom at all". Shell Creek Road was the only notable display of wildflowers we encountered.

Piles of oyster shells are everywhere in Grays Harbor County, Washington (state). These are part of a pile about the size of a VW near one of the cranberry bogs.

A John Deere No 6 mounted on a 1955 Ford F-700. The truck was originally a semi truck. The frame was lengthened to accomodate the sheller.
