These shell were never used and are found at the Thistlegorm wreck in a casing of 4 pieces.
Aloha to "Molly", an Oahu scuba diver who just got out of the water from a dive at 3 Tables and came over to my studio to pick out this beautiful double Sunrise Shell necklace, with orange shell on the top and bright yellow shell on the bottom. Most of the shellermen I was around kept watch on the drags all the time. It was the best way to keep an eye on how much corn was going to the machine. You sure didnt want to get a machine clogged up with too much wet, shuckey corn. Plus rocks,or metal objects would break many of the cast parts inside the sheller. There were some guys near here who built steel parts for the inside of the sheller. That were much stronger than the cast parts. But you still needed to know what was going into it.

For Strobist readers: lit by a 580ex set to 1/2 power with a 1/4 CTO gel mounted. Bounced off a silver umbrella very close to the shell with a magazine serving as a gobo for the upper left 1/4 of the shell. Saturation increased in post-processing.

Over the last year I have collected shells from a shore line here in Adelaide. I got to the beach to remember my mother. When I began this collection, I realised I wanted to display them rather than put in a box. My idea of having some box frames eventually developed in these final products.
Maros leading its train down grade. The Shell tanker carries water but is not through piped to the engine. It was attached to the train for looks and for a bit of fun.
