in my opinion, one of the most beautiful buildings in Berlin, almost a hundred years old, but still an architectural icon
Out on a walk today I found a small patch of snow that hadn't yet melted...yay!! Hunting around quickly for something to use I found this tiny snail shell hidden under some leaves. And then got very wet and muddy lying down to photograph it!

I have quite a collection of shells as I cant' resist picking up those that catch my eye. I mainly use them to decorate planters - HSoS!
Thanks to skeletalmess for the texture!
Siamo come conchiglie, belli e duri fuori, ma la parte più fragile e vera sta ben nascosta dentro di noi.
We are like shells, beautiful and hard outside, but the most frail and true is well hidden within us.
Well this is the third sunset shot in a row I've posted. Need to change with the next one.
This is the sculpture of "Mary's Shell" situated on the beach at Cleveleys. This particular evening was quite spectacular with moody clouds flying across the sky as the sunset. It was pretty breezy, so the tripod needed a bit of help in keeping steady, it was also pretty cold, so no wonder I had the place to myself for a change.
Macro Mondays - Spiral
Happy Macro Monday everyone.
I had been playing around with this shell and decided it needed some water drops. But that still wasn't working, so I dropped the shell into a glass of water and amazingly one of the water drops stayed put, right where it looks, to me, like the eye of a fish.
The shell is 2.6cm, or 26mm, from tip to toe.
Two shells which I collected from a beach many years ago.
'Two' for 'Macro Mondays'

Happy MM
This is the corner of a shell box, the frame square is 1 inch, these tiny shells are glued to the sides and top of the box.
“The point is that something I thought was perfect has been broken, and I'm having to find the beauty in what is there instead of what I thought was there. Like this shell. I can either spend all my time wishing it were perfect, trying to imagine it the way it was or might have been, or I can see how beautiful it is just like this. ”
