My photo meets the requirement of using shape because of the cylinder wheels and the rectangle from the longboard deck. There are several layers of circles within the wheels as well. The wheel itself is circular, but the longboard bearings and bolts are also circular which gives depth and texture to the wheel. I took this image when I was out longboarding on a trail, and I positioned the longboard in a position facing towards the woods. I then took the picture on the ground close to the wheel. To edit the picture in photoshop, I first increased the saturation and intensity of the yellow wheels which contrasts the gray color of the gravel. I also used curves to contrast the texture of the smooth, rubber wheels and the rough, bumpy ground. I also blurred out the background a bit in order to focus more on the front wheel near the camera. I think I did well contrasting the texture of the wheel and the ground. You can see the details of the dirt on the wheel. I also liked how you could see the reflection of the wheels on the bottom of the skateboard because it looks visually stimulating. One thing I wish I did better was the lighting because the lighting was the same throughout most of the picture since it was cloudy when I took the picture.
Second time to shoot geometric shapes for class, now taking light into consideration. I ended up more taking shadow than light into consideration...
