I took this one a couple of weeks ago at Sussex Prairie Garden. I thought it was hot then. It's hotter now! I'm hoping it will cool down again soon, so I can get back to my indoor photography and remain (relatively) sane. :)
The first snow has arrived and he has nothing better to do then shoot some photos from me. How annoying :)
Tamino loves snow, but yet...not to be photographed.

My old friend Shogo came to Vancouver to say goodbye to our friend, Jody, tragically taken from friends and family in a workplace accident on March 31. Before Shogo left Vancouver, we were able to get out onto a downtown Vancouver rooftop and look out over the city. April 11, 2016.
Helios 85mm 1.5 Russian Lens. My first time out I shot it at f-1.5 most of the time. This shot is one of them.
Not really, he just waits to get up again. Damn photoshootings is the only thing he´s thinking of :)

Happy Monochrome Bokeh Thursday - HMBT
She came for a visit, living somewhere in the vicinity. It was our first encounter. She was feeling comfortable lying there in the shadow and had seemingly nothing against a photo shooting :)
Spring is in full swing - everything is turning green, weather is tricky, sometimes warm, sometimes rainy.
Here, a cat that's living somewhere around. This poor kitten is definitely underfed, and obviously isn't the happiest cat around, I hope to catch some time out of the office soon to take proper care.
Taken with Panasonic GX7 digital mirrorless camera and adapted Konica Hexanon AR 52mm F1.8 manual lens on AR-m43 adapter. Wide-open aperture, at reasonably close to minimum focusing distance, to have as much bokeh as possible. Not bad!
Very sad update, a month later: that cute cat, unfortunately, did not make it through. I haven't managed to catch some break from the office and take proper care, my parents did as much as they could, but it simply wasn't enough. :(

(Thanks to Rob for a bit of playtime with his new Fuji X70!)
It's been warm and sunny Sunday, a perfect day to visit my parents. I've waited for sunset, hoping to catch some bokeh-y shots. This is what I got, I'm quite satisfied with the results! Mid-April 2018.
Taken with Panasonic GX7 camera and Leica DG Summilux 25mm F1.4 lens, wide-open at ƒ/1.4 for maximum bokeh.
Thank you all for pushing this photo to Flickr Explore #418! :)
Iris
In floriography, the iris flower symbolizes faith, courage, valor, hope and wisdom.
Purple color combines the calm stability of blue and the fierce energy of red. The color purple is often associated with royalty, nobility, luxury, power, and ambition. Purple also represents meanings of wealth, extravagance, creativity, wisdom, dignity, grandeur, devotion, peace, pride, mystery, independence, and magic.
This is probably why I love purple irises.
Even in the darkest nights of this longest of winters, may there always be a light to shine the way....
This is another one from my visit to Borde Hill a few days ago. As you can probably see, the old leaves have been well and truly battered by rain, but fresh new leaves still appear, even in November.
Our weather is pretty crazy at the moment. Yesterday was wet and very cold, today has been bright and sunny (still very cold), but by Sunday it will be 15C ... and wet, of course!
Black and white seascape take on the shoreline in Miraflores, Lima, Peru. Surfers waiting for the next wave at Redondo beach. Taken with a Canon 5D IV and a Sigma Art 135mm.
