This variety of Helenium seems to flower later than the red one I usually photograph, but it's looking spectacular this year and is very popular with bees. This particular plant was grown at Sussex Prairie Garden, which is one of my favourite summer haunts.
Another one i originally sorted out, because of lack of sharpness and the overexposed color. But sometimes it´s hard to delete what you´ve done. Even if it´s far from good or perfect. So forgive me the lack of sharpness (it´s a Trioplan!) and the over exposed pink (my fault).

Sorry I haven't been posting on here. I just haven't been at my computer for a bit and Luke (my cat) is having health issues so I just haven't felt much need to spend a lot of time on here doing photography stuff. I tried to keep posting on my Instagram because it's on my phone but yeah it's been rough. I also been busy doing non photography work that has been exhausting.
I took this at the very beginning of winter. We've had the warmest Autumn on record, but still - it's a blossom right? What's going on!?
My first attempt in levitation. Hope you like it. And yes, there is a plenty of room to grow.

A close-up view of a vivid pink Cosmos bipinnatus flower, also known as Mexican aster, captured on a walk through Longmont, Colorado. The petals are wide and gently notched, radiating outward from a dense yellow center of tiny disk florets. The shallow depth of field lets the intricate structure of the flower shine against a softly blurred background of natural tones.
This image was taken in early afternoon using the Nikon Zf paired with the Nikon F-mount Micro 105mm f/2.8 macro lens via FTZ adapter, showcasing this versatile lens’s ability to render fine floral detail with rich color.
Another insect I'm afraid - with our recent warm weather they are everywhere...like a crowd of rather odd little friends that I'm very happy to greet once again. This damselfly led me on a merry dance through long grass, flitting off as soon as I got close enough to take a shot...but eventually I wore him out ;) Damselflies and dragonflies always look so happy somehow!

Day 267/365:
Smile on Saturday - I love to - collect photo props
I couldn't resist this hand when I saw it in a shop window...the little dried roses are new too, from a local florist.
I finally picked my camera up today. I had to sit down to use it but it's a start. HSoS

Day 173/365:
Definitely Dreaming - Brightly coloured
A day out with my camera club today. We went to a lovely little artisan bakery and cafe for lunch. They had this fabulous vibrant pottery which I assumed was for Pride week but apparently not, they just love vibrant stuff.

Ah yes. Setting the table used to be a thing. Not so much anymore.
Why is Flickr so difficult. It is still four clicks to go into a friends image to comment and then exit. Why is this so much effort? OR, is it just us peasants who no longer wish to pay pro prices.
