The sun was streaming through a break in the storm clouds lightening parts of the ground but was not able to reach everywhere.

I really like the shadows in this picture.
Today has has gone by so fast it’s crazy. I went to lunch with my queen, Urdis. We went to Ludal’s, ‘twas her first time and she loved. We’ve been trying to switch it up instead of going to Consiglio’s all the time but it’s hard.
This morning I watched First Wives Club which was the perfect movie for me right now. Then when I got home from lunch I watched Booksmart. Beanie and Kaitlyn are such a great pair.
This game was a nail biter. Both teams played their hearts out and played aggressively. In the end, our boys won 1-0.
Mysterious shadows of the backyard trees and grass in the evening summer sun.

Our shadows, like our selves are not clearly focused, while the background, the semi dry creek bed, is sharp. There is no manipulation of the photo, the leaves on the left just reflected the sunlight differently.
Only four stars here, but we added them to our Five years on Flickr set because because you have viewed this photo more than any other photo on our stream

*Shadow: (ombre in french)
A shadow is a region of darkness where light is blocked. A shadow occupies all the space behind an opaque object with light in front of it.
The cross-section of a shadow is a two-dimensional silhouette, or reverse projection of the object blocking the light.
The smaller the angle between the direction of the light and the surface on which the shadow occurs, the longer the shadow is.
Walking on the Moon Shooting Rabbit Tracks, St-Donat, Quebec, Canada
Note:
Frozen tracks were made by a wild rabbit ( hare). They look like if they are applied over the snow, in fact they are old frozen tracks which are covered with a thin layer of fresh snow.
Perhaps catching the nuances
Looking at what I can be grateful for instead of what I haven't got
Taking in life in it's varied tones of grey
Instead the absolutes of B&W
Makes life so much better to appreciate
Seem so much more worthwhile
Just perhaps !

We move around
it sits there.
silent, alone
Shadows hover then are lost.

a bench in the sun, but only half. the man sits just on the edge, where the light meets the dark. his back turned, shoulders drawn, as if carrying some thought too heavy to share. the shadow swallows most of him, leaving just a sliver of light on his neck. it’s quiet here, though the city hums somewhere beyond. valencia's sharp winter sun cuts the scene into halves—one bright, one black. sometimes, silence feels louder than the noise.
