its just two 250w work lights bought at Home Depot for 9 bucks each

some white wrapping paper as diffusers

and duct tape and clothes pins to hold everything together

i might put a reflector up top to bounce more light around...or might just end up buying another light

the 40d is setup on a tripod with the cable connected to the computer

In the 4-H Table Setting Contest at the 2019 Lancaster County Super Fair, youth selected a theme and displayed one place setting, including table covering, dishes, glassware, silverware, centerpiece and menu. Youth chose one of the following categories: formal, casual, picnic or birthday.

During the contest, youth set up their table and have five minutes to present their table setting to a judge. After all judging is complete, the public is welcome to view the tables.

The Super Fair is produced by Lancaster County Agricultural Society, a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that promotes agriculture, youth and community. Learn more about Super Fair at SuperFair.org

setup in the registration lobby

I won an award at work today for my 2007 work performance...so, I did what anyone would do. Try to take a cool picture of it.

Strobist info: ISO-100, f/22, 1/250. SB-28 w/ blue gel (rosco 750) behind star on light stand. SB-800 w/ red gel (rosco 280) under the setup. Both flashes were at full power. For the platform I taped a piece of posterboard under a piece of plexiglass and placed it over the arm of 2 chairs.

Metz 48 with shoot-through umbrella at camera right, one piece of bristol board as a background, and a second one as a reflector. (previously held in place by ducktape, but I started disassembling it before taking a setup shot.)

Setup is simply a TV tray, Norman 404 Strobe with umbrella softlight and my large screen tv as a reflector just off to the left.

A simple setup. Snooted flash pointed at the ring (adjusted many times to get a shape I liked). 1/16 power.
