Setup for this photo for Macro Mondays.
About 80% of the string of lights is jammed inside the grater, so that it would shine out through the holes for foreground bokeh. Some of the lights are outside, to give just a bit of illumination both to Death and to the aluminum foil that's providing the background bokeh. The ruler is stuck inside the grater to block the light from just one blue bulb that was shining a little too brightly through the holes. The scotch tape dispenser is holding the "outside" lights in place a little bit.
This is the setup for the kids photos. Nice thing is everything runs on battery packs so it can be used anywhere and will support between 400-1000 shots. For the shots of Miranda, I turned the T2 around and pointed it at the Red Snuggy. Who says you need expensive backdrops.

Setup shot for the photos uploaded from the Olympia Meetup Group Small Object Lighting event. All of the ornament shots and the berries shot were taken with this setup - except for the berries shot, I leaned the back diffuser over to semi-GOBO the ambient room light above. Also gives you a sense of scale for how small these objects are...
setup for shoe shot at 6/365. Apparently your supposed to upload these (atleast it's what I see everyone else do)
Note how improvised this setup is. Backscreen is a piece of Canvas. The 'Floor' is a white t-shirt. Flash is held up by a book and a few pieces of plastic.

This is the setup that I used for my duckling time-lapse shots.
I mounted the camera (with 15mm fisheye lens on a heavy duty Giottos MH-3300 Pro Ball Head (just the head).
I tethered the camera to my laptop and used. EOS Utility software to control it. Software was set to fire the camera every 5 seconds.
My "real" setup (x60 + kinesis + lcd) with a mac and windows laptop for testing/music make my full setup.
But all I really need is my "real" setup. The mac/xp stays off most of the time.

2 setups in a small muddy place. Really happy that the umbrellas didn't blow off or turn inside out in the wind!
