A cellar window in a old French Army barracks, Caserne Lefebvre*
The building has been beautifully restored externally. Internally, it is now divided up into residential apartments. Photo taken in strong, slanting winter mid-day light.
NB - For ESLs "set in stone" is an idiom used to indicate that something--especially a law or a rule--is permanent.

When the main goal of the day is to spend the time for a well done sketch I usually take with me a full set, but compact and not so heavy. The album is home made with Arches satine paper, that is my favourite.
Discovering fractals, I feel like Alice in Wonderland falling deeper and depper into this mesmerizing world of color and structure.

Amtrak Empire Builder backing onto the track it will load from, about 30 minutes prior to departure. Above it is Randolph St. Also above it, is the corporate headquarters for Boeing.
Seen parked beside some disused british aircraft is this preserved Leyland Atlantean that wears the rather appropiate for the scene BOAC (British Overseas Airways Corporation) Airport Livery. This is one of 15 built in 1966 for services between London Air terminal at Victoria and Heathrow. It seated 50 passengers as it carried a non-standard Leyland 0.680 engine, which was able to do 70mph.
Parke dup inside the Lanes Coaches depot in Hemel Hemstead is this 1997 Caetano bodied Dennis Dart. The bus is primarily used on school services but was recently used on Hemel town service 11.
This is my interpretation of the ultimate MidCentury Modern Workspace. 50 plus year old designs that still looks timeless yet modern and contemporary. Dieter Rams would say "Less is More." Don Draper would say, "Make it simple, but make it significant." Yes, it is expensive but it will outlive and outlast any computers I have or will have for the next 40 years. This is a "luxury desk set-up."

George Nelson Bench for storage. Everything pictured are authentic, licensed pieces.
BTW, people have been wondering. Yes, you can fit a 27" iMac on a George Nelson Swag Desk. As long as it is under 25 lbs.
I'm pretty much complete except I might swap out the Tolomeo Lamp for an AJ (Arne Jacobsen) Desk Lamp.
