Hello everyone & happy Saturday! I hope you are all enjoying the start to your weekend! Today I will be sharing the first of two sets of photos of another desert themed sim that The Design Firm has recently wrapped up for our client, Teyana. This project contained a large single-family residence, which paired perfectly with the numerous lounge & gathering spaces that we’ve created, allowing our clients to entertain large gatherings of their family and friends with ease.
In this first set of shots, we’ve opted to showcase the gardening work and surrounding area of the home, which I personally think is stunning. In the next set of shots, which I will be sharing over the next couple of days, you will get a more in depth look at the vast entertaining areas scattered throughout the landscape of the home.

Ring-tailed Lemur poised to leap through the air high in the treetops of Africa Rocks at the San Diego Zoo.
The first of the refurbished 'Castle' HST sets, comprising HST power car No. 43093 'Old Oak Common HST Depot 1976-2018' + 49101 (ex-44055), 48111 (ex-42093), 48102 (ex-42177), 48101 (ex-42168) + HST power car No. 43016, commenced station operation testing on 19th March 2018 and is seen here, crossing St. Germans Viaduct, with the return run, 5Z46, the 15:02 Truro to Exeter St. Davids. The train was supposed to run through to Penzance, but planned engineering work meant the section west of Truro was closed between 19th and 22nd March.
Seen dumped at the rear of the Stroud depot along with many other late 90s vehicles is this Volvo Olympian that is now apart of the Stagecoach reserve fleet, unknown whether it is still in any use.

Ayumi gets stuck in with the next stage of the Gone With the Wind set design and creation. In this diorama you can see the drinking straws and cable clips I will be using for drains and pipework and also a window frame which will be part of the build. When I can, I buy damaged windows in the bargain basement as these are less than half price and can easily be fixed with some superglue gel. I'm pretty pleased that Ayumi has decided to help me out with this project - I need all the help I can get!

Working service 72 to Roehampton is (YX09HKF DE37) a 2009 Dennis Alexander Enviro200 of London United seen at East Acton passing (P675MLE DP275) a 1996 Plaxton bodied step entrance Dennis dart being used as a canteen bus for drivers of Metroline service 7.
Passing through Luton town centre is Arriva the Shires & Essex (N39JPP 5139) a Northern Counties bodied Volvo Olympian working service 12 to Stopsley via Crawley Green Road. Ths vehicle was one of three surviving step entrance double deckers that has now been retired & withdrawn from the Arriva fleet and sold on for further use.
Returning into Aylesbury town center working service 50 from RAF Halton is Arriva the shires (KL52CWN 6000) a 2002 ALX400 bodied DAF DB250 seen heading to terminate at Aylesbury bus station. New to the shires at the Watford depot for TFL contract routes.
This very handsome looking house was set back from the street in Polruan and I could easily have missed it.

Strangely all wearing monchromes, a trick of the light as it didn't feel like it. The meetup venue on Cambridge Circus before heading off into Soho.
I still pinch myself, all this on my doorstep and having such lovely friends to share it with. Great night; Waiting for the bus with the lights of Piccadilly Circus providing the backdrop it's far from monochrome.

Original designs for a chess set. Features:
-Each piece is fully 3D and instantly recognizable from all angles.
-The bases are designed to hold a coin (US nickel) to weigh them down securely. They can lean nearly to lying flat and still stand back up - this is useful for playing on lumpy origami chessboards!
-Each is made from a single square without cuts or adhesive (although use of adhesive is perfectly acceptable if you're making a set for actual use.)
These took 3 months to design, I'm now happy with all of them.
De vierassige motorwagen 11 van Auckland is in 1902 als bouwpakket vanuit Engeland naar Nieuw Zeeland geleverd. Brush Electrical Engineering leverde deze kit set. De werkplaats Ponsonby van het trambedrijf in Auckland assembleerde tussen 1902 en 1912 in totaal 43 van zulke als bouwpakket geleverde trams.
De wagen bleef in gemoderniseerde vorm in dienst tot in 1952. Daarna werd de wagenbak vele jaren gebruikt als klaslokaal in de plaatselijke dierentuin. De rijvaardig gerestaureerde tram wordt tegenwoordig af en toe ingezet op de Western Springs Museumtramlijn in Auckland.

This elegant lounge set is made of rattan, a type of grass of the bamboo family. (see details in large format). Took this shot in the annex display room at the Glass Garden. No HDR this time.

A cellar window in a old French Army barracks, Caserne Lefebvre*
The building has been beautifully restored externally. Internally, it is now divided up into residential apartments. Photo taken in strong, slanting winter mid-day light.
NB - For ESLs "set in stone" is an idiom used to indicate that something--especially a law or a rule--is permanent.
