Leaving the Vale Travel yard on Gatehouse Way (Aylesbury) is (L116HHV) a Northern Counties bodied Dennis Dart seen on its way to work its usual afternoon school service from the Lord William lower school in Thame. New to MTL Travel in 1993.

En 1625, après plus de dix ans d'arrêt, Louis XIII décide la reprise des travaux du Louvre pour réaliser le Grand Dessein imaginé par Henri IV. Il ordonne la démolition d'une partie de l'aile nord du Louvre médiéval pour prolonger l'aile Lescot dans cette direction en symétrie parfaite avec les mêmes détails de décor.
En 1660, l'architecte Louis Le Vau est chargé du projet d'achèvement du Louvre : doublement de la Petite Galerie ; achèvement de l'aile nord de la Cour Carrée ; de 1661 à 1663, prolongement de l'aile sud, dotée d'un pavillon oriental, symétrique du pavillon du Roi de style Renaissance et d'un pavillon central. Dès 1668, Le Vau doublant le palais en largeur, la première façade de l'aile sud, face à la Seine, terminée en 1663, disparaît au profit d'une nouvelle façade. Les derniers restes du Louvre médiéval sont démolis.

The reigns of Louis XIII and Louis XIV had a major impact on the Louvre and Tuileries palaces. The extension of the west wing of the Cour Carrée under Louis XIII marked the beginning of an ambitious program of work that would be completed by Louis XIV and added to by Louis XV, resulting in the Louvre that we see today. However, following the completion of Versailles, royal interest in the palace waned, plunging the Louvre into a new period of dormancy.
In 1625, after over ten years of inactivity, Louis XIII decided to resume construction work and carry out the so-called Grand Dessein (Grand Design) envisaged by Henri IV. Louis XIII ordered the demolition of part of the north wing of the medieval Louvre and its replacement by a continuation of the Lescot wing, with identical decoration and detail.
In 1660 Louis Le Vau was appointed to oversee the completion of the Louvre. This entailed a new facade for the Petite Galerie, the completion of the north wing of the Cour Carrée, and, between 1661 and 1663, the extension of the south wing, including two new pavilions—one at the eastern end, symmetrical to theRenaissance Pavillon du Roi, and one in the center. In 1668, Le Vau doubled the width of the palace and constructed a new facade overlooking the Seine. The last vestiges of the medieval Louvre were demolished.

Parked in the long line of darts at the Aylesbury depot is Dennis Dart (BF52NZP 2297) of Arriva The Shires & Essex seen not in use during a quiet sunday afternoon. New to Arriva Midlands in 2002.
On a recent visit to Dumfries & Galloway we came across this fellow gazing out to sea from the harbour at Port William

I'm going to give my opinions on these sets real quick.
Superman/Lobo set:
That green kryptonite thingy looks cool but i could care less about it
Lobos Motorcycle looks amazing, definitely accurate and great looking.
as for Superman, he should've had dual molded legs, but whatever i'll just use Spider-man's legs.
Lobo looks amazing, that hairpiece is so perfect, would've liked to see some leg printing but it's understandable.
Krypton looks fine, but i'd would've rather seen another minifig.
8/10 over all for me, if it's 20-25 dollars i'll definitely be picking it up.
Reverse Flash/Killer Frost Set:
Both vehicles are random and i could care less for them.
Flash is weak, needs dual molded legs (like most of these figures)
i like getting a new cyborg although he's not as good looking as the others.
Killer Frost looks stupid, we could've gotten a wayyyyy better one):
Reverse flash looks great, but no dual molded legs of course
5/10 probably won't buy unless it's 30-35 dollars.
Cheetah/Firestorm set:
The mech is pretty nice, bigger as expected, not much about it.
I'm happy that i'll be able to add another completely useless bat vehicle to my collection, that's all i have to say about that. all of these sets also have great translucent pieces, in a fan of those.
Cheetah looks pretty good, she needs arm printing and maybe some leg printing, but good enough.
lex looks alright, nothing special, lack of leg printing kinda ruins it though.
Wonder woman looks pretty good, i'm just annoyed they still haven't added Bracers to her yet, but whatever.
batman looks cool, the new torso looks awesome, happy to see that, but something's missing, and it's not the cape hmm i wonder.
as for Firestorm, i'm alright with it i would've rather seen Ronnie though, also no dual molded legs god dammit.
8/10 will buy if 50-45 dollars

Bicester town center is where Red Rose (Y358LCK 50520) an East Lanc bodied Dennis Dart is seen having just worked service 17 from Aylesbury and is about to depart to make the return trip. This vehicle was new to Red Rose in 2001 along with sister (Y359LCK)
About to enter Aylesbury bus station is Arriva The Shires & Essex (KE53NFG 3829) working service Red Route 9 from Stoke Mandeville Hospital via Walton Court and will work on service Pink Route 8 to Bedgrove after termination. New to Arriva London in 2003.
(W83NDW) 2000 Optare Solo of Z&S Travel and (L886SDY) 1993 Alexander bodied Mercedes 709D of Star Travel both seen parked in Aylesbury bus station in early 2015.
On the county lanes near the Venturer Coachways depot in Debach (Suffolk) is this 1983 Leyland Tiger TRCTL11/2R East Lancs EL2000 (WPH135Y) new to London Country TL51 with ECW B51 body. Previously operated for Hedingham & District L148. The bus is now preserved and can see occasional use on the companys school contracts.
Pictured in the sunshine is this beige 1986 Toyota Starlet EP70 (D61WPM) a very original, excellent condition example of very few left registered in the UK.
Borrowed this dress from my best friend, Ariyana. It's quite cute! I went out to a club last night, here in Toronto. Again, these pics were taken at 2 a.m., so please don't mind the scraggly hair! Cheers everyone!

New to the Shires fleet in 1999 and has only one more week until its imminent withdrawal along with 3266.

Leaves.
I posted a shot for Sliders Sunday last week. It was one of a set of variations on the theme all based on one original picture.
I didn’t have time to publish the rest at the time so I’ll do it now, in case it interests anyone.
The fun for me is in creating these different endpoints and seeing which ones work and which don’t. It’s always interesting to hear which you prefer too as that often surprises me.
The original image is linked in the first comment. I did about ten variants in all but I’ll only share the ones that I like for some reason or the other.
I’ve been going to A MFA self-help group (Mirror Filterers Anonymous) in recent months. They’re a friendly bunch and have helped me control my addiction. Sadly I shall have to admit to them my lapse - they will not be pleased :(
Don’t you just like the organic textures and leaves? (No obligation to say yes!) This reminds me of beetle exoskeletons for some reason :)

[This one was made from the B&W version with a twofold mirror filter in Afinity Photo and dragging the cursor (origin) around in the image to find something interesting. I like the whole leaves in it though another version uncovered some moths!]
