Anu & Walter waren so lieb, mir von ihrem letzten Heimat-Urlaub in Estland wieder ein paar Flaschen estnisches Bier mitzubringen. Die Biere sind in der Zwischenzeit natürlich längst ausgetrunken, doch mit diesem Foto sage ich nochmals Danke für Eure Aufmerksamkeit, liebe Wintschaleks ! Hat wieder gut geschmeckt. An nationalen Biermarken gibt es wahrlich genug Auswahl auch in Estland. Das dunkle "saku Porter" schmeckt ein wenig anders als das dunkle Bier in Österreich oder gar als das irische Guinness, aber so soll es ja vielleicht auch sein. Es lebe der regionale Unterschied. Man kann also auch wegen dem Bier getrost nach Estland, in die Hauptstadt Tallin oder in die Universitäts- und Braustadt Tartu, fahren, wo man wohl auch das hier gezeigte Wappen Estlands da und dort bemerken wird.
Anu & Walter were so kind to bring me again a few bottles of Estonian beer from their last home holiday in Estonia. In the meantime, the beers have of course long since been drunk, but with this photo I say thank you once again for your attention, dear Wintschalek's ! It tasted good again. There really is enough choice of national beer brands in Estonia, too. The dark "saku Porter" tastes a little different from the dark beer in Austria or even from the Irish Guinness, but maybe that's how it should be. Long live the regional difference. So one can safely go to Estonia, to the capital Tallinn or to the university and brewery city of Tartu, where you will probably also notice here and there the Estonian coat of arms shown here.
On one end is a brown stink bug, only the 2nd one I've seen. Better here than wrecking havoc on a farmer's fields.

Mit den letzten Sonnenstrahlen nahe der Piazza Unitá beende ich meine Triestserie. Es war mir eine große Freude, Euch die Stadt der Winde näherzubringen. Servus auf ein Wiedersehen in Triest!
With the last rays of sunlight near the Piazza Unitá I close the series about Trieste. It was a pleasure to walk with you through that wonderful city and to show you something about that wonderful place. Maybe we meet again in a bar or a coffeehouse.

The Church of St Servus is interesting for being originally a Numidian temple. The temple was converted into a baptistry, later the body of the church and an apse were built around it. It is likely that this was the cathedral of the Donastists who are active in the early 4th century.
Am 09.10.2025 fuhr zum letzten Mal der IC 2082 "Königssee" von Süden nach Norden.
Am 21.09.2025 fand bereits die letzte Abfahrt in Berchtesgaden statt. Mit 111 095 und 111 189 kam der IC 2082 als RE 24 bei Piding durch.
