Am Nachmittag des 13. Oktober 2019 konnte ich den ALX 84110 nach Lindau HBF bei der Vorbeifahrt an Oberthalhofen fotografieren. Es führte die 223 069. Der Herbst zeigte sich von seiner schönsten Seite, der Blick auf die Nagelfluhkette war ungetrübt.
On the afternoon of October 13th 2019 I took this picture of express train ALX 84110 to Lindau passing the little village of Oberthalhofen. It was hauled by 223 069. Autum was on its best on this day, the view on the mountain chain called Nagelfluhkette was very clear.

The Re421 394 is laid out in a great blue tone for advertising the new faster electric trains between Zürich and Munich.
They will start in December 2020.
In addition to the 'servus Wien (hello Vienna)' titles note the 'joint flight by Austrian Swissair' titles on the lower fuselage.

Sturm und Regen aus dunklen Wolken begleiteten die Abschiedsfahrt der 151 060 von Lokomotion vor dem „Vega-Zug“ 59964 von München-Ost Rbf nach Rheine. Frisch gewaschen, geschmückt mit einer Girlande und der Aufschrift „1974 - 2024 Servus alte Lady“, überfuhr sie mit dem bekannten Transporter-Zug die markante Haus-Knipp-Brücke über den Rhein in Duisburg-Baerl. Als Wagenlok wurde die ebenfalls interessante LM 193 774 mitgeführt. Abschließend besten Dank an die engagierten Initiatoren der Abschiedsfahrten!
Farewell trip
Storm and rain from dark clouds accompanied the farewell journey of the 151 060 from Lokomotion in front of the “Vega train” 59964 from Munich-Ost Rbf to Rheine. Freshly washed, decorated with a garland and the inscription “1974 - 2024 Hello old lady”, she crossed the striking Haus-Knipp bridge over the Rhine in Duisburg-Baerl in the well-known transporter train. The also interesting LM 193 774 was carried as a wagon locomotive. Finally, many thanks to the committed initiators of the farewell trips!
Yet another shot of a Brown Stink Bug (Euschistus servus) giving me the "stink eye"!
I've been messing with my camera settings more lately, trying to squeeze some more mileage out of my macro set up. Instead of automatically stopping down to f/8 or f/11, I've started experimenting with aperture sizes and shutter speeds. I've found that my particular example of this lens shines spectacularly at f/5.6, when the lighting is right.
Today, the lighting was right! Lots of detail on the ommatidia this time, maybe even enough to defeat the compression this photo will surely endure.
This shot was captured at 1:1 using my Vivitar (Komine) 90mm f2.8 Macro. This photo is cropped to remove dead space. This stinky sucker with a staring problem is around 10-12mm long!
Am Nachmittag des 25.Juni 2023 beobachtete ich dann den Betrieb im Bahnhof von Boppard an der linken Rheinstrecke (KBS 471) .
Die nördliche Ausfahrt liegt am Nachmittag gut im Licht für Züge gen Norden und auch der Blick auf den Wasserturm bzw. Säuerlingsturm ist bekannt und kann mit einer Leiter gut umgesetzt werden.

Der erste Güterzug der gut ausgeleuchtet war wurde bespannt von der blitzblanken ELL 193 498 die am 20.März 2023 erst vom Hersteller Siemens abgenommen wurde und an ELL - European Lokomotive Leasing übergeben wurden und in den bekannten Design von ELL foliert wurde.
Am Haken war der nicht voll beladene Containerzug DGS 42768 aus Kehl nach Rotterdam Maasvlakte West in den Niederlanden für den Mieter VIAS/ RTB Cargo.
Der Zug war mit ca 1,5 Stunden vor Plan unterwegs.
Links im Bild ist noch die Spitze der Pfarrkirche St.Servus und rechts die Christuskirche zu sehen.

A photograph of the vessel Servus II (MMSI: 219011196) moored in the harbor of Rønne, the largest town on the Danish island of Bornholm.
The ship has a storied history: it was originally built in 1972 as the Norwegian rescue vessel Lars Christensen. In 2007, it was sold to the Danish Pilot Service and renamed Servus 2 (or Servus II). In later years, it served as a support vessel for maritime security services in the Red Sea. In the background, the silhouette of St. Nicolas' Church (Sankt Nicolai Kirke) and the characteristic coastal architecture of Rønne are visible.
With little Severin in a canoe on Lake Bohinj, I close the series about Soča, the Triglavski Narodni Park, from this wonderful area.
The next few days I'll be on vacation without flickr. We'll see you again with the current pictures from Abruzzo from mid-June.

Mit dem kleinen Severin im Kanu auf dem Bohinjer See schließe ich die Serie über Soča, den Triglavski Narodni Park, von dieser so herrlichen Gegend.
Die nächsten Tage mache ich Urlaub ohne flickr. Wir sehen uns mit den aktuellen Bildern aus den Abruzzo ab Mitte Juni wieder.
