Nachdem bereits 2018 die mit Lokomotiven der Baureihe 218 bespannten Regionalzüge von München nach Füssen eingestellt wurden, endete im Dezember 2021 auch der zweite lokbespannte Umlauf ins Allgäu. Im vorliegenden Bild passte letztlich alles, zum Abschied hatte die schöne ozeanblau-beige 218 446-3 die Ehre den RegionalExpress 57588 vor einer imposanten Wolkenkulisse nach Kempten zu befördern. Sie werden fehlen, die beliebten Windmühlen im Münchner Westen.
Say hello to the end. After the regional trains from Munich to Füssen, hauled by class 218 locomotives, were discontinued in 2018, the second locomotive-hauled route to the Allgäu ended in December 2021. In the present picture, everything finally fit, as a farewell, the beautiful ocean blue-beige 218 446-3 had the honor of hauling RegionalExpress 57588 to Kempten in front of an imposing cloud backdrop. They will be missed, the popular windmills in the west of Munich.
Seit heute ist der planmäßige Einsatz der Baureihe 101 und ihren InterCity-Wagen beim München-Nürnberg-Express offiziell vorbei und so sind auch die verkehrsroten Reisezugwagen Geschichte. Sag zum Abschied leise Servus... dies ist mein letztes Bild des EC 194 (München - Zürich HB) aufgenommen in der Hufeisenkurve bei Riedles im Allgäu. Die "letzte Ehre" hatten 218 416-6 und 218 430-7 - schade, dass es vorbei ist!
Goodbye and farewell! This is my last picture of EC 194 from Munich tu Zurich HB taken at the horse-shoe bend near Riedles in the Allgäu region. The two class 218 locomotives from the loco shed of Mühldorf, 218 416-6 and 218 430-7, had the honour to haul this long-distance train to Lindau at Lake Constance.

Un jour de l'an 484, Euric fit exécuter l'ermite après lui avoir fait trancher les oreilles. Le corps du martyr fut enterré par des bergers au fond de la grotte où il avait vécu et au-devant de laquelle une petite chapelle fut édifiée, plus tard, à la gloire de Servus, sanctifié sous le nom de Saint-Ser. Le sanctuaire fut consacré le 5 janvier 1001 par Amalric, évêque d'Aix-en-Provence.

One day in the year 484, Euric executed the hermit after having cut off his ears. The body of the martyr was buried by shepherds at the bottom of the cave where he had lived and in front of which a small chapel was built, later, to the glory of Servus, sanctified under the name of Saint-Ser. The sanctuary was consecrated on January 5, 1001 by Amalric, bishop of Aix-en-Provence.

Mit einem Alex war 223 072 "Grias di Allgäu" kurz vor Ende der Planeinsätze bei Ruderatshofen Gen Lindau unterwegs. Es war mein letztes Bild einer Alex Garnitur im Allgäu, denn kurz darauf folgte der IC2085, welcher hier ebenfalls schon gezeigt wurde, und im Anschluss bis Stein bzw Altstätten verfolgt wurde. Durch diesen Wechsel an die Nebenstrecke nach Oberstdorf bekamen wir keinen Alex mehr vor die Linsen.
