Llyn Dinas is a lake near Beddgelert, Gwynedd in north Wales. It is formed by the River Glaslyn. Llyn Dinas lies on the valley floor a few miles north of Beddgelert at an altitude of about 55 metres above sea level. It has an area of 60 acres and is fairly shallow, with the maximum depth only 10 metres. The lake offers good fishing for salmon and trout.
Is it too late to say Happy Holidays? I've been away for almost two months, and missed ya' guys!
I have some catching up to do, and look forward chatting with you again!
Here's an image from last weekend, where winter is plodding along here in Ontario.
This is a like on Manitoulin Island, beautiful, majestic and so peaceful body of water. When I spotted the purple colours on the lake, I took my camera and run to the scene…

Serenity is maintaining a sense of inner peace even in difficult situations. We gain serenity by accepting the things we cannot change and focusing our energy where we can make a difference.
Fear, anger or desire can create a sense of urgency that triggers us to react impulsively. When this happens, we risk undermining our goals, damaging relationships--even violating our deepest values. By contrast, when we cultivate serenity, we don’t fear our emotions, but we do keep them in balance. We govern ourselves rather than being ruled by external circumstances and our feelings about them.
Meditative practices, contemplation, physical exercise and self-regulation skills all can help us to maintain a serene, peaceful state of mind. This mental state in turn frees us to live thoughtfully and intentionally. When we hold onto our own sense of serenity, we help others to keep theirs.

The birch trees seem to be the queens of the forest, especially in spring. Fresh greens attract the looks and the photographers:-). They do keep the serenity and the stillness and invite us to contemplate the view.
A pano from my favorite birch land, 6 shots without tripod.
Thank you for all the comments and favs, my friends.
God, grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.

After returning from my trip last week, I have taken a bit of time to simply enjoy the serenity of the backyard. The sights and sounds are beautiful to behold.
Although it can be difficult, it is sometimes necessary to ignore weeds that are taking over and plants that need planting and trees that need trimming. And yes, even caterpillars that need saving.
It's time to get back at it, although I cannot guarantee that I will not get distracted.
Have a wonderful Wednesday and happy snapping.
This shot is taken in JPEG (NOT in RAW), thus very minimum editing made. Essentially, what you see here is what was there. It is one of my works for an Nat Geo Assignment from a Nat Geo producer. The assignment prompted me to explore area less visited by people, injecting something new in the photography community.
Disney just shut down a wonderful photography community, Nat Go Your Shot (Nat Geo YS), forcing me, a Your Shot photographer to migrate my works from Nat Geo YS to flickr and/or instgram. Your Shot is a place to be missed. Other than socially connecting people, YS inspires and encourages every photographer.
As always thanks in advance for your faves and/or comment..
