Beautiful light at the end of the day.
This shot was a happy accident. I was on route one morning to shoot the sunrise at Loch Leven in Perthshire when as I crested a hill I caught sight of this view in the rear view mirror. I was concerned that if I stopped I would be late for the sunrise on site and miss out on the planned shot. I was about half way down the other side of the hill when I decided to stop and go back for the shot at the hilltop. I’m really please I did because not only did I catch some fantastic clouds and colour in the sky when I did finally make it to the loch it was completely hidden under the thick blanket of mist in this image. Good call!

thank you, Serene ... for Furillen .. (and from me: a special thanks for Dyrhólaey!) .. and all the other wonderful places you've created.
you've inspired so many of us.
thanks for your creative mind, your love for the details ... your humor and kind grumpiness.
We'll meet again ... save a place for us at Furillen on the other side.

we will laugh, we will sing when the saints go marching in..."

I read an article the other day, called "The Age of Disorder" on RT.com, which in accordance to analysts from Deutsche Bank, we are heading toward a decade of uncertainty and instability, the elite's plandemic/scamdemic, the worsening relationship between US & China. The one thing the article didn't mention was that of the ground level stuff, the sociological collapse of unity (as if we ever had in the first place) the likes of Antifa and the EDL, BLM (Black va Blue), Feminism vs the MRAs and so on and so on, etc, etc.
One thing I have found in photography is the escapism from all this, photography granting the ability (for those who have it) to live in a world of utter chaos but be transfixed by the hues & tones of a flower, or how the grass moves in the wind, the changing colours of leaves on trees, for a moment to be completely, absolutely absorbed and delightfully distracted by the acquisition of artistic endeavours via a camera and a bit of knowledge.
Photography, like all real art (real art, none of this new age crap) is the salvation of the soul(s) of mankind, and I would recommend it to anyone whose willing to learn.
So, with that said, have a great weekend everyone, and as always, thank you! :)
Taken in Petten, Netherlands.
Dutch's biggest war is the war with water, and here in Petten they decided to make the beach bigger (or get some more land from North Sea). Project was finished in 2015, and there was over 35mln cubic meter of sand moved. Pretty impressive stuff.
Oh, and that's my Kaila wondering there :)

Came across this quiet spot ! Only the sound of the stream running , birds chirping and the wind rustling the leaves

“Faith is not simply a patience that passively suffers until the storm is past. Rather, it is a spirit that bears things - with resignations, yes, but above all, with blazing, serene hope.”

Mt. Rainier on a quiet early morning.
The smoke was bad here much of the summer from nearby wildfires. Our summers in the PNW have been much hotter than in years past. Sad to see hundreds of miles of beautiful woodlands lost to the fires. Heavy smoke is becoming a common hazard and challenge for photographers during our summers now. :-((
Enjoy a wonderful week ahead!
A picture of serenity in the early morning sunshine, the autumn colours showing an array of golden tones and a splash of red on the far banks. The rustic bridge and the dew laden grasses hiding in the shadows, with the lake a picture of tranquillity.
Thanks for the views, faves and comments, very much appreciated.

My Local sunset spot, I often go to this spot when I'm walking 'Monty' but tonight I just took up the camera gear and spent an hour trying various exposures, I think this one is my favourite.... Monty did get a walk afterwards!

Summertime waves voyage from the idyllic islands of Tarutao National Park, Thailand, to beautiful Datai Bay, Straits of Malacca, Malaysia, where they become serenity ripples welcome to all :-).
For photographers, such summertime waves illustrate endless symmetries and opportunities for nature and landscape photography.
With some of the best golden hour photo opportunities at the beach, along with numerous activities of sun, surf, and ocean fun -- and also. of course, elsewhere -- summer at the coast is where the livin' is easy,
