Wishing you a joyful New Year. I remember every detail of shooting this scene at Lake Herbert in Canada near the entrance to the Icefields Parkway. No one was there but me. It was so quiet and peaceful watching the sunrise. I wish you that same feeling of serenity for the coming year.
Found a beautiful place to collect my thoughts, and find some peace. When life gets complicated, look to nature, and just breathe it in. Appreciate the beauty all around you.
Your Taxi: Missing Melody,

After almost twenty days with a serious health problem that has prevented me from following up on your photos and your comments, here I am again with renewed strength and with enough encouragement to be able to share this image, whose title expresses what I feel seeing me back home.... I hope in these next few days, to be able to return to the usual rhythm of work, to which I was already accustomed.

Swan on the Firehole River. Taken in Yellowstone National Park. We had a lot of fog and rain this past trip but I enjoyed how it could change a scene.
Look to the beauty of nature to find serenity in the midst of a pandemic. A morning image from my deck.
(P.S. Living on a hill with a zoom lens helps immensely with the view 😂)

Hang on to your hopes
That’s an easy thing to say
But if your hopes should pass away
Simply pretend
That you can build them again
But look around
The leaves are brown
And the sky is a hazy serenity of autumn
(free translation by me, author Paul Simon)
Enjoy your weekend dear friends!

Due to the amount of awards and comments, I can't thank everyone individually, so I'm doing it here.
Thanks for stopping by my gallery. I’m very pleased and really appreciate each and every view of my photo, comments, invitations and awards.
There is a surprising phenomenon, somewhat akin to serendipity. Beauty can reveal itself in the most unusual ways and in the most unexpected places. I look for beauty where I can. Sometimes I find it when I am not looking. It may simply creep peacefully into my consciousness, like some sort of cosmic serenity. Maybe it should be called "ironic coincidence".

Notice unblemished snow,
winter's whitened creation,
artistry in motion, that quietly enters
inviting all travelers to linger in solitude
savor the beauty of untouched paths.
listen to nature's calling, awakening
life to hushed stillness and Peace.
WONDER in silent tribute as
frosted trees celebrate
a world tucked in
tranquility and
hope.
