"The idea for this came to me on the way to a nice dinner on our second wedding anniversary last week. In the end, the photo turned out to be more for me than the comp, but that's still a win for me. Lit in pitch black with a pin-holed torch, to carefully light the sequin pillows. The rose was added to the scene to drawn on the 'Sleeping Beauty' story -- my own fairytale, if you will."

It's been a long day. At least I got to sew some beads and sequins on to the olive green t-shirt. This is a color I always hated as a child. It was the color of my father's air force uniforms. So I saw lots of it. But now, I've come to appreciate it because it's my boyfriend's most often worn color. Must be a guy thing or a camo thing or something. So I needed the sequins to brighten it up.
Embroidery is a great way to personalize items and I find it relaxing. You only need to know a few basic stitches. Or keep a reference guide handy while you stitch to jog your memory.
