Sorry about this one..I'm a bit disappointed because I have not captured the vibrant red of this sequined fabric - looks more pink here grrr..but I didn't get time to check yesterday!
A few years ago, I started making new felt ornaments every holiday season. And last year, I discovered sequins. Now I'm obsessed, so I added a tutorial for using sequins to the &Stitches blog so everyone else can get obsessed, too.

I used a slow exposure and zoomed the lens in as I pressed the release.

I like using sequin scrap to create texture when I spraypaint backgrounds. I tossed these pieces down as I finished. When I looked at them, I found the pattern enchanting.
May 16, 136/365 (1232/1461)- One of my students wore these sequined high-top Van's Off the Walls a few weeks ago. I made her promise to wear them again on a Monday for me; and today was the day!
Our school's media center closed weeks ago for a variety or reasons, but it's sure hard for my students to get much done without being able to use the library. Since they shoved all the bookcases together (?) it makes a pretty good little stage, or bench in this case.
