My Size Elsa and Anna 38'' Dolls by Jakks Pacific, dressed in the Snow Queen and Snow Gear girl's costumes by the Disney Store. They are free standing side by side. They are wearing their original Jakks Pacific shoes, since I don't have the proper sized Disney Store shoes for them yet.
I am dressing up the My Size Anna and Elsa 38'' Dolls by Jakks Pacific, in their Disney Store costumes. The Disney Store costumes are size 4, which is for girls up to 40'' tall. The costume is a too long (especially the bodice and sleeves), and much too wide, as the doll is much skinnier than a child of the same height. A size 3 would have fit the doll better, but size 4 was more readily available from the Disney Store.
The Disney Store Snow Gear Anna Costume consists of a dress with a removable mini cape. The dress has a black velvet bodice with printed decorations and gold trim. The deep blue skirt is multilayered, with decorated organza overskirt, satin main skirt, tulle petticoat underneath, and a slip under the petticoat. The petticoat keeps the skirt poofy. The satin cape attaches to the bodice via two clips that hook onto the cameo just below the collar of the blouse. There is also a velcro fastener that keeps the cape together. I used safety pins on the back of the dress to pull it tighter around her neck and waist. I used clear rubber bands to tighten the sleeves around her wrists, so they wouldn't hide her hands.
The Disney Store Snow Queen Elsa dress consists of a clear tulle cape with glittery white snowflake and icicle appliques, bodice with rectangular sequins, a snowflake shaped cameo of Elsa, satin skirt, tulle petticoat, and a slip under the petticoat. The sleeves are shear knit. There is no closures, and the entire outfit is sewn together as one piece. The back of the bodice and sleeves are stretchy enough that it was easy to put the dress on the Elsa doll. I made the bodice fit better by pinning it in the back at the neckline and around the waist. I put Elsa's original shoes back on, as I don't have the right sized Disney Store Elsa shoes yet. As with my Anna 38'' doll, Elsa looks much more like the movie character with the Disney Store dress. But it is not as accurate as the Anna costume, as Elsa's skirt in the movie is a slinky affair with a slit down the side to show off her legs.
