Sparkfun was selling defective boards for $5, so I bought one of the only category that was left, sensors. GPS and wireless comms. were both sold out, as was development (which had a few clothing-based Arduino chips, LilyPads)
I got my package in the mail, and with the rest of my order was this little guy, a $55 breakout board for a super-accurate barometric and temperature sensor.
So far, the only problem I can diagnose is that the solder joints on one side are disconnected and bridged, so if I can fix that, I might have a powerful little guy in my arsenal that was nearly free, in comparison to what it would have cost.

Infra "hand wave" sensor and cabinet light kits which have plug and play installation. The only wiring connection necessary is the connection to a mains 220-240V AC supply.
I was reading an article about Camera sensors and how they are similar to windows on a building and they had a pictures of a building... well it looked just like Assumption building here... Each window being a light receptor that we all have in our digital cameras... Now it would be very interesting taking a photo from each window and then stitching them together to make a super big image! I don't think my computer has enough ram to do that one though :D
