a life size self-portrait I started in college as a school project and called it finished about 10 years later. I kept adding and adding to it over the years. It's a collaged background with painting, my whole body is painted and my face is a photo. I repainted my face a million times and then it sat blank for a while, until I decided to slap a photo on it and be done with it! LOL!

Not a fauxteau, but slightly sinister just the same.

Me from a different angle using my Sony Alpha 700. I just got it a couple of months ago.

since i took pictures of others... i always forgot to take my own picture... memories on which will remain in my history of being here in my dreamland...

Not sure how I feel about this one. It's a bit odd to see the picture I have of myself in my head looking back at me from the computer screen.

And yes......the red hair is gone and yes it is really this dark and I am really this pale in real life.

Scanner photography.

I scanned this image of myself, which is projected on the scanner through a broken lens.

The Girl who couldn't play with fire because the match was wet....

For a brown skinned woman, being able to look in the mirror and love what you see is a true act of rebellion.

I am trying hard to learn to rebel.

My photos always look the same, someone slap me please.

Im going to TRY and add new things, and ideas, and different editing and processing, I wanna add some flava to my 365.

This is a cheat ... I only processed this on the 7 May. Forgive me...

I was inspired by the lighting in Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake ... which had the most amazing shadowplay in some of the scenes. There were giant imposing shadows behind the dancers. Stunning production in every way. Love, love love. My favourite of all time...

Its still pouring outside. Wrote two poems today. and then looked out of my fav window and continued pondering.

I learnt today, that things wen kept under the scrutiny of colors and dreams hurt when broken... we need to hand them over to the firm gaze of time.
