When you knock on my door, I will open it. And invite you in.
Offer you a chair. We'll sit down at the table.
Look at each other. There is so much I want to ask you.
Instead I'll listen to your slow words.
You're right, it's all in vain.

Different view of this Sculpture, then I showed you yesterday (if you missed it, see first comment box).
"""Maurizio Cattelan (born 1960, Italy) is an Italian visual artist. Known primarily for his hyperrealistic sculptures and installations, Cattelan's practice also includes curating and publishing.
His satirical approach to art has resulted in him being frequently labelled as a joker or prankster of the art world.
Self-taught as an artist, Cattelan has exhibited internationally in museums and Biennials.""'

Working on getting my full strength back to normal. Here's a lame selfie attempt 46 hours after surgery. Finally getting some much needed sleep. Staying on my regimen and all signs indicate success.
Thank you to all who wish me well. Very much appreciated.
I will be faithfully doing my POTD no matter how silly. Working to get back to full capacity.
It could do with a wash, but "Cloudgate" (aka the Bean) in Chicago is fantastic to photograph from any perspective.
Self portrait of me in John William Goddard's Victorian masterpiece, Reverie Did this for ChiaNi's Self-Portrait by a famous painter or in a famous painting Group
At least an intended deadpan portrait. Wearing a hat may destroy the "dead" in this, and the type of hat, here, my wide-brimmed Fedora, may affect the interpretation of the person (me). Not to mention the way I wear the hat.
FF really took me out of my comfort zone for this weeks theme. I vary rarely photograph people, let alone myself...I much prefer to keep my mug behind the camera!
Gibson (1966) defines the haptic system as "The sensibility of the individual to the world adjacent to his body by use of his body". The haptic perceptual system is unusual in that it can include the sensory receptors from the whole body and is closely linked to the movement of the body so can have a direct effect on the world being perceived.

"If only I could make him understand. I just don't see things the way he does. I just don't see how a world that makes such wonderful things could be bad."

My hair appt was cancelled today in Leamington Spa (grrrr) so shopping with Jenny (very good friend) and Jessica (very wise 9 year old!) after her drama class ... quick lunch out ... more chatting ... dinner at home ... and a most delicious glass or two of champagne ... yum.
Then an evening of all the trashy tv (Jenny made me!) Strictly / X Factor / Celebrity jungle!
Then sleepy again!
Now is this what you call ghosting? I kind of liked it as I was so sleepy... comments and feedback please...
this picture pretty much describes my life

So, as I've mentioned lots before, I started photography and film-making in February of last year. When I started I had one aim and that was to get something I've made seen by people. Sort of vague but I managed it a few months later when I had my first short film that I co-directed shown at a local cinema in a short film competition. We didn't win but we did get some great praise, and for saying it was our first project ever, we were pleased.
Well, since that point, I've been setting more goals and I feel that these ten goals/aims/things sum up what I want from this year.
For the photo I used the remote audio trigger again on my 550D. I cannot recommend Magic Lantern enough to any of you that have a Canon camera and want more from it for FREE! I use Magic Lantern for everything from HDR bracketing, Timelapses with the built in intervalometer, and even filming with better ISO control and internal cropmarking.
