Took a shot of myself with a table lamp as my light source. Desaturated it and added a cropped picture of peacock feathers.

Taken at a church off of Rt 50 in Arlington, I originally planned to shoot at the graveyard but felt awkward shooting by myself there after dark. I was heading back to the car but passed this handicap ramp on the way with just partial lighting and took advantage.
Excited to start this 365 project with powellgb, even though he's already 2 days ahead of me! I'm looking forward as much to learning post-photo editing as I am to improving my shooting technique, so let's see where this year takes us...

This is what's on my current wishlist:
Lights I think so I can eliminate shadows when shooting... :-)
Tripod as mine is broken - and too low for me - I always have to bend down for self-portraits!!!
Laptop so I can get some editing software downloaded. And, and, and... :-)
a life size self-portrait I started in college as a school project and called it finished about 10 years later. I kept adding and adding to it over the years. It's a collaged background with painting, my whole body is painted and my face is a photo. I repainted my face a million times and then it sat blank for a while, until I decided to slap a photo on it and be done with it! LOL!
