For my sister's last day in NYC we took my fourth and fifth grade ESL students on a field trip to Ellis Island. It worked out perfectly because we have been studying about immigration and my sister had never been to Ellis Island. The kids had a fantastic time. You wouldn't think NYC kids would be excited as they were to see the Statue of Liberty. They all agreed it was the "best trip all year!" and one of the guides at the museum commented that I had the best class she'd ever seen on a trip. All around a great day.

Got a new softbox, Westcott Apollo 28x28, also bought the 40 degree Grid. Set it up tonight and took some hand held self portraits, to test things out. Most of these were shot with manual setting via YN-622C, at either 1/8th power or 1/4 power, focal length set to auto
