Trying out Helga's photoshop tutorial. Hee! :P
I wish I had a longer neck.
My flickr pro account is going to expire in a few days. *sigh*
It only takes a couple days for the beach haze to sink in. The
longer I stay in the sun, the fuzzier I feel.
We spent three hours on the beach again today, the adults
being hyper alert because of the rip currents, the kids never
leaving the water, except to wipe the sand out of their eyes
when the waves whacked them.
We're off to play some sort of fancy mini-golf (the sets are
amazing!), and then it's dinner (on Dad) at Mancini's,
one of my favorite restaurants of all time because of the
incredible Caesar salad, which, sadly, I can't have. (But I
might have to cheat, like I'm cheating with a beer.)
(For 365 Days. This is Day 306.)

Background = on axis: Flashpoint eVOLV200 Pro (bare bulb) through 2 layers of white diffusion fabric..
Not much to say...I had no sleep...driving hundreds of miles to thanksgiving...and way too much coffee. But I like how it came out. :)
That must have been the best cigar I've ever had. You know they dip the cigar in rom just before lighting. And you should never use cigar cutter, only your fingernails. At least that's what I was told and Cubans should know, right?
Key = camera right above subject (~32” from the face): Flashpoint eVOLV200 Pro with bare bulb with ¼ CTO gel in 4.7" reflector with diffuser.
Fill = on-axis behind camera: Flashpoint eVOLV200 Pro with bare bulb fully covered with ½ CTB and partially with ¼ Rosco Tough Plus Green gel in 65" white umbrella. About 3 stops below the key.

My day was good. I am going up to see my family. My sister is throwing a coed baby shower for my other sister. It should be fun!

.... they're not my most favourite flower but their charm is not lost on me.
I do however have peculiar taste in them. I would never wear fully bloomed jasmine. I love the unopened fresh bunch because the tighter the buds the longer it lasts in your hair without turning brownish in colour.
I just love the feel of the little tight buds carressing my skin as I flip my hair around. A little quirk I guess ;p

Thought it was time I appeared on Flickr, if only carefully chosen parts of me (I don't want to scare any younger viewers) :D
The motion effect was achieved by using a long exposure and changing the focal length (zooming) while the sensor was exposed. I'm amazed that it came out so well especially as it was all done by hand and no additional lighting.

I missed some of last night's early gathering with King's X and Extreme because the Ram's Head wouldn't let me in. There were only two press passes left at the desk, and even though mine was supposed to be one of them (we checked before leaving Towson), two other photographers got in right away, leaving me stranded for about thirty minutes outside.
The Camp's operations VP kept asking me to wait just a little while longer, but it was apparent that no one was actually *trying* to get me a pass (how hard is it to open a drawer or just say—let her use the Rock Camp badge?), and I didn't understand why she wouldn't just let me in the venue, at least until they could walk a pass over to me. I had a ticket in my bag (they'd given me a free one), but the hall was filled with Rock Camp people, and everyone knew I was with them. I know I didn't tick off anyone. I was perfectly nice and out of the way the whole time.
But it all worked out, I guess. And then I went home and fell down. The end.
Dağda dolaşırken yakma kandili
Fersiz gözlerimi dağlama gurbet
Ne söylemez akan suların dili
Sessizlik içinde çağlama Gurbet..
Titrek parmağınla tutup tığını
Alnıma işleme kırışığını
Duvarda emerek mum ışığını
Bir veremli rengi bağlama Gurbet..
Gül büyütenlere mahsus hevesle
Renk renk dertlerimi gözümde besle
Yalnız annem gibi o ılık sesle
İçimde dövünüp ağlama GURBET

It s recount day at work. I didn't get myself worked up about it either. All of us don't like recount day because you have to search for items that your co-workers missed and find them.
