Most of my light meters in one place. (There are more . . . somewhere.) Some of these are dead, most still living. It's hard to pass by instruments like these when the sellers have no idea what they are and charge only a couple dollars each. Those with active Selenium cells live out their retirement in a quiet, dark drawer; their cells blocked with black cloth tape to preserve sensitivity. The dead ones adorn my shelves, skeletons of their former purpose.
The Shepard flash meter and the Minolta Autometer are both still in active service status. Have had the Autometer for over three decades (hurts to think about), works as well as it did on its first day in my bag.

Think it's usually hard to see what happens to the print when selenium toning, but this time I decided to let it soak for 10 min in a strong 1:5 bath. Obvious reddish hue!

A view from Waterloo.
As far as the view went, I had to go with what I had from the hotel, so the Shard is rather farther from the cluster of skyscrapers in the City than ideal, but I thought the composition was somewhat redeemed by a nice variety of clouds.

Back again with this series.
In this series the emphasis will be more on architectural shots and combining this with long exposures.
This one is about long exposures and combining it with silhouettes. I shot this one while the sun was shining right behind the lighthouse and shed its light on the water.
