After sitting on the good news for months, I can finally announce that my beads were used in a winning necklace for Bead Star 2009!

Lorelei Eurto used my Apocalypto beads in her stunning necklace which took 3rd place in the Plastics category in Bead Star 2009. I'm thrilled! Thanks, L! Now, if we could just get them to create a new and suitable category for polymer clay and let resin and Lucite have the "Plastics" category all to themselves!

Bead Star 2009 should be out on the newsstands now. Check out all the other great winners!

Beadwoven bracelet w/ coral and seed beads

Khaki green seed beads, glass beads, siilverplated lobster clasp

I love making beaded beads, and this set came out particularly bright and cheery. Peyote stitch over a wooden core. One of my most popular kits and patterns!

Close-up showing the stripes in the pattern. This is a fun and easy pattern.

Nearly 20 years ago, I did the first (liquid silver and 2mm silver beads). Later I tried rows of seed beads and others to replace the bugles, now I find Toho 3mm bugles to do the job quite well. I know the chain has been published somewhere, sometime, but I developed mine independently years before I saw that, and I have a much quicker method.

These bracelets were made with Delica seed beads....I love working with Delicas because of their uniformity and limitless color selection. The bracelet on the far right is made using square stitch, the others are peyote stitch.

This is a tubular herringbone stitch which needed a focal point. After playing around with beads had on hand, I came up with a peyote stitch "frame" and attached the flat beads to the center. Sold within one day of placing it in my gallery. Why can't they all go like that ?

Herringbone stitch-Czech beads and Delicas. The faceted plastic button closure doesn't reflect light in this photo so it appears dark.

This shows some of the contrast of the freeform peyote patterns. The bracelet is very textural because of the different size glass beads used.

El rojo no es lo mio, y me cuesta horrores fotografiarlo y que no parezca una mancha informe, pero ya apetece ir preparando amorosidades...

Paper, lava, seed beads.

Sparckling and bright, this cuff style bracelet will add some zing to any wardrobe.

Hand woven without the use of a loom, this pieces consists of thousands of tiny size 15 seed beads. Silver lined red and gold circles are set off by opaque black.

This striking bangle is made of hundreds of tiny glass seed beads stitched one by one. I used netting to make a stiff, round tube, which I then embellished it with spikes of different sizes seed beads. The pattern is based on Heather Kingsley-Heath's design which I modyfied -very slightly I must admitt..The juicy shades of purple tipped with drop of yellow make a color combination suitable for the bold only! This bracelet will definitely not go unnoticed.

This bangle is made of hundreds of tiny glass seed beads and countless hours of endless stitching but who cares; it was great fun! I am sure you will enjoy wearing it as much as I enjoyed creating it!

I drew inspiration from Regina Rioux's blogged chrysanthemum pattern to crochet a Homecoming Mum Wrist Corsage back in Oct.'15.

This one is in size #20 crochet thread and I used a 1.5 mm steel hook. Added tiny seed beads in the center too, I think they were size 10º seed beads, or else 12º.

The bracelet strap was $1 at JoAnn Fabrics.
