When I'm not drawing and painting or working with textiles I like to make bead jewelry. I made all of these polymer clay beads and then strung them in a complex manner with seed beads and pressed glass beads. The necklace can be found in my Etsy shop, Second Part Art.

PRECIOSA Rocailles are the most used type of glass seed beads. They were created in Venice, Italy in the 15th century. These beads have been produced industrially in Bohemia since the 18th century.
These round-shaped seed beads are manufactured using unique technology for cutting glass tubes with round or square holes into various sized pieces which are then rounded and polished when hot and subsequently classed by size and shape.
The PRECIOSA Rocailles are produced in sizes from 1.5 mm to 8 mm and the sizes of the Czech PRECIOSA seed beads are stated using the traditional so-called zero series. The regular sizes range from the smallest 16/0 through to the largest 1/0, while rarities also include the four large sizes of 31, 32, 33 and 34, known colloquially as potatoes.
We divide the PRECIOSA Rocailles into so-called uncoated and coated rocailles according to the level of their subsequent finish. Whereas uncoated rocailles are left with the pure glass finish, a coated rocaille is given a further surface finish, for example colouring, galvanising or other types of decoration.
Cut PRECIOSA Rocailles are a special type of PRECIOSA seed bead on which 1-2 small facets are cut on a special cutting wheel. This makes the PRECIOSA Rocaille sparkle and it acquires exceptional optical properties in combination with some other surface finishes. The most popular size of these cut PRECIOSA seed beads is the 13/0 size, traditionally known as Charlotte beads.

Os comenté que tenía en marcha otro colgante con la técnica coral, esta vez en tonos azules, y aquí está. Me encanta cómo queda. La longitud de "los corales" es de 12 cm. Y puede formar conjunto con el anillo de organza que os mostré hace unos días.
Son dos piezas que se pueden usar por separado, una azul claro y otra más oscuro.

This is a pattern from Bead & Button magazine that just came out this month (March 2010). It is a RAW variation. Fun to do and looks great on the wrist.
Ornately beaded necklace with over 50 hours of labor put into it. Beaded with 5 shades of blue, bronze, red, and sand Miyuki delicas. Measures 5" out from the neck. Created 8-April-07 based off a design by Varvara.

I have somehow collected a variety of beads in this color family. I guess I'm stuck on lime green right now !
This is a small Peach Aventurine Stone donut or "pi" I've wire wrapped with non-tarnishing Sterling silver plated wire that has been coated with a clear finish for durability. It's been embellished with prettly little seed beads in a fruity mix of colors and hangs from a pretty little white organza ribbon.
Created for a themed challenge "Burlesque" ... just finished infact.
Large Black Onyx cab surrounded by black and red AB seedies and red Czech FPs ... beaded lace motifs make surround the neck.

The bracelet has been created using vintage Swarovski 47ss Chatons in the colour Madeira Topaz. First the Chaton has been bezzeled using size 15 seed beads. The bezelled Chaton has then been inset into a cubic right angle woven square bezel. The Chaton was embellished with petals using herringbone stitch. The colour way is largely gold, bronze, topaz, orange, purple and gold iris.

After years of trips to Greenland, they have come to know the beauty of its nature, the wonder of the polar days and the magic of the polar nights. During their research, they have gathered many written documents from the history and the present of Greenland. They have been searching for the traces which the missionaries from the Moravian Brethren have left on the island.

Un encargo, la chica vió el collar y le gustó pero lo que quería era una pulsera (a las que tengo muy abandonadas por cierto).
This herringbone pattern, worked with Delicas and crystal bicones, is available on Kriszta's blog. Though the site is in Hungarian, the pattern is all illustration.
This bead embroidered cuff is made with a beautifull glass cabochon, made by Patricia. It was quite a challenge to find matching seedbeads.
