The World Today did an "outside broadcast" from a virtual studio in Second Life, with the presenter as one Avatar and the Studio Manager as another (to be able to listen to the Presenter). guests were invited in and intreviewed - although the chat didn't work for some of them and we had to Skype them instead

It's been a while since I have posted on Flickr. There has been little time for photography and what time I have had has been blighted by poor weather. A long weekend in the Lakes District was a washout - here's hoping for an Indian summer!
Time to raid the archives again. A sunset over the Second Severn Crossing during low tide.
Someone has just finished a superb job of refurbishing this incredible second empire house on the east side of Norwalk, Ohio. The color choices on the trim are subtle and perfectly configured.
The house was built in 1875 and is located at 131 E Main St in Norwalk, Ohio:

This Southern Pacific manifest is climbing around Tehachapi Loop, with the second set of helpers (two more six-axle EMDs, the first appearing to be SD45R 7469), emerging from Tunnel 9. This heavy freight has a total of 10 engines hauling it up the grade. Of course, the upper train in this picture is the same as the one below as it loops around the famed grade in southern California.

The Second Severn Crossing is the M4 motorway bridge over the River Severn between England and Wales, inaugurated on 5 June 1996 by HRH The Prince of Wales to augment the traffic capacity of the original Severn Bridge built in 1966.
