Blended exposures with Haida Clear Night Nanopro filter, multi-row panoramic stitch
This is a pretty challenging pano to stitch, and those who have attempted it would know what I mean!

I said nothing for a time, just ran my fingertips along the edge of the human-shaped emptiness that had been left inside me.

CN 3982 & CN 2283 is the power on a late CN 401, which has a string of TankTrain cars up front. CN 3982 was previously on lease to CN as CREX 1515. That lease ended a few years back, but CN has now bought 75 ex-CREX units.
My psychiatrist told me I was crazy and I said I want a second opinion. He said okay, you're ugly too.

The arrival of a Western Swamphen, the second pf this species to be seen in Britain this year has resulted in this beautiful; nature reserve being put on the map. The first Western Swamphen was seen at Minsmere in late July and this could be the first wild bird seen in Britain of this species.
Other wildlife included 5 Spoonbills although numbers had peaked to 22, minimum of 10 wader species including Spotted Redshank and Curlew Sandpiper, 5 birds of prey species including Hobby and plenty of Marsh Harrier, Little Egret, a hooting Tawny Owl and at least 10 Bearded Tits.
There were still quite a few Dragonflies out and 3 species of butterflies.

In a superb natural setting, where the rivers Trent and Ouse join to form the Humber, Alkborough Flats is an exciting project, which helps prevent thousands of homes from flooding. The site is perfect for lovers of wildlife. By breaching the river defences new habitats have been created, which are a haven for wading birds and wildfowl, making the site an ideal area for bird watching and leisurely walks. A number of events are held at Alkborough Flats throughout the year, including group walks, bat detecting and photography sessions. Limited accessibility on some footpaths.

EVIA ISLAND, GREECE. ΕΥΒΟΙΑ
A day out with my wife Theresa Jane Brown.
Taken on August 6, 2020.
The island of Evia lies along the Eastern coast of Central Greece, and is accessible to the mainland via two bridges, an old wooden bridge and a contemporary suspension bridge. There are also frequent ferries to several parts of the island. It is 175 km long and is the second largest island in Greece, and the third largest in the Eastern Mediterranean.

Those photographic voices called me to a secret location in Southern Alberta over the weekend, plenty of fresh snow had give back the pristine prairie that was depleting before my eyes from warm chinook winds.
There was a tangible presence from this fading memory that exists very isolated from ordinary surroundings. Not a neighbour in sight, nor anything to cling to. The door and windows gently whispered. It was a solemn space, and one that I'll not forget.
Time moves slowly during a winters Sunday hush, everything second hand seems timeless.
