My 2 1/2 year old loves the Little Einsteins TV show, and loves playdoh. I happened to have some clay that can be shaped and baked. So I took about an hour making a sculpture of the spaceship "Rocket" from the TV show, using nothing more than my hands and a paperclip to sculpt it, and pictured is the result.
only thing left to do is bake it for a few hours and give it a little bit of paint :-).

My first doll I made.
This doll (my first) came alive as I was first trying to learn how to make spirit dolls. Spirit dolls are dolls made from many different mediums (clay, sculpy, wood, rocks, cloth, paper, etc). They reflect a part of the artist and usually have much to say. After I made this doll, I sat down with her and allowed her to speak to my heart. The poem is what she said. I was awe struck that such clarity and voice came from within me. I also know that she is honest when she speaks about who I am.
CRYSTAL
I am fun and joy.
I am clarity and openness.
I am seen as I am,
Without frills or pretense,
never hidden or covered.
I have sad and joyful eyes.
open wide to see clearly,
looking deeply,
and easily to be seen.
Tears freely come.
I have an open mouth
full of laughter and song.
I am full of praise and wisdom
speaking truth to my own soul
and to others.
My feet are bare
ready to dance,
big feet easily baring
all the weight I will carry.
They carry me where I must go.
I have open arms with hands lifted high
to admonish. teach, receive,
to welcome, to hold , to heal,
to drum, to dance
and clap with joy.
My name is crystal
and I carry the name about the neck.
The crystal is a tiny mountain rock
that has been blessed ~ by time and adversity
and has become a shining stone.
You too are a mountain rock,
Solid and strong
But clear and shining.
You are blessed by time and adversity
and have become crystal clear !

I ran out of organic eggs, but have a bazillion plastic eggs. I wasnt satisfied with the eggs I'd done so far. I saw a picture of something in polymer with paisleys, and dots and bubbles. I also got a set of "pearl and etch" tools from the Studio line of Sculpy (I think it was one of those products that I saw the paisleys but could not find the image again when I went to look). This egg is a neutral taupe color then coated in mica powders, and highlighted with polishing wax

This is a creepy clay model of my boyfriend. I move it to different places in his bedroom while he is asleep so that he thinks it is alive.
The beads and five pendants are made from polymer clay. I created a texture sheet inspired which was inspired by Kandinsky's, "Improvisation No. 23". I used the sheet to give the pendants their texture.
The necklace is Strung with leather and silk; the clasp was fabricated with copper wire.
I built this model over 40 years ago as a prop for a Super 8 film project. Over the years it got pretty beat up and lost some teeth. I made the missing teeth out of Sculpy, then sanded and primed it. I finished it with Krylon Gloss Dover White, shaded it with raw umber water based oil, then dull coated it.

She was exhibited at the NIADA convention in the late 90's. Manon was tittered about at the competition-- she is fully sculpted from the waist down, so anyone peeking up her skirt got a surprise! ( bloomers weren't invented till the next century...)
I made all of the little silk roses and ribbon embroidery; a nod to master doll artist George Stuart who chided me for using found objects and pre made things on my dolls. Well, he's got a point; did you make the whole thing or not?

"Killing The Messengers" an acrylic, mixed media collage. Pictorially, it is a gruesome picture of dead birds with their tongues cut out and hung on branches. The blood running down the windowsill turns into a rainbow.
An homage to all the journalists killed in the line of duty. Journalists are our "messengers" who, if they are doing an ethical and honest job, protect our freedoms and preserve our right to know the truth about war, politics and history. This homage is directed at ALL journalists who put themselves in danger to report the truth, not just Americans.
The original has been SOLD, but prints may be available.

Notes: These are scratch sculpted from Super Sculpy and concrete patch.
I designed this for the Gargoyle, Mathias, I figured it could be the badge-or proof of his special mission from our Tremere masters. It's hard to see but the edge is decorated with a cuneaform-like pattern that could actually be a message.
More shoes from Bitter Hearts by Octopus Army. Shoes made from sculpy, fabric, chains and ribbon. I think I need to sand them down in the future. I assumed the paint would cover the rough edges. Guess not. :-P
As Harry heads to school each day he's very open to the idea of moving onto something more hijinx related.
And with the pranks to play and the caves to explore who can blame him?
