found object sculpture (c) Tom Torrey

2009

tiny little geisha pendant

A set of dragon sculptures. The blue and green ones I made about four years ago. The Red one was made last year and is only now being finished. The other two are in for repair.

this is me wearing a hemp necklace i made. i also handmade the sculpy jack skellington bead. i love jack!

"Killing The Messengers" an acrylic, mixed media collage. Pictorially, it is a gruesome picture of dead birds with their tongues cut out and hung on branches. The blood running down the windowsill turns into a rainbow.

An homage to all the journalists killed in the line of duty. Journalists are our "messengers" who, if they are doing an ethical and honest job, protect our freedoms and preserve our right to know the truth about war, politics and history. This homage is directed at ALL journalists who put themselves in danger to report the truth, not just Americans.

The original has been SOLD, but prints may be available.

I designed this for the Gargoyle, Mathias, I figured it could be the badge-or proof of his special mission from our Tremere masters. It's hard to see but the edge is decorated with a cuneaform-like pattern that could actually be a message.

More shoes from Bitter Hearts by Octopus Army. Shoes made from sculpy, fabric, chains and ribbon. I think I need to sand them down in the future. I assumed the paint would cover the rough edges. Guess not. :-P

As Harry heads to school each day he's very open to the idea of moving onto something more hijinx related.

And with the pranks to play and the caves to explore who can blame him?

CocoDomo: So while Tee is on break I am going to introduce you to some of the toy family who live here at her work. These are the implings that Tee made she was going to sell them but couldn't bring herself to let them go. There were two others Gourdon and Ivan but they went on to live with some of Tee's friends.

Head sculpt is sculpted with Sculpy clay then refined with Apoxie clay.

My little dragon. The first of his kind. I never made one before but I really wanted to try. I mean to paint on his face but I can't because he's not baked because I have no oven.

A good morning for bare feet, even if they are a bit stiff. :) Does it count if it's not a real bench? Or real legs?

The making of sculpted pants was inspired by two things:

1)My mother made these amazing ceramic pants that lived in our kitchen window. They held the kitchen scissors, toothpicks in the pocket and various kitchen rif-raf. If there is a battle among us children over any inheritances when Mom passes, I think that pants will be it.

2)My brother traded some of his great art for cashmire pants. He now owns lots of fancy pants. He then won a PIF contest I ran on my Facebook account, and I had to make something unique for him. He got the first pair of sculpy pants.

These greenies are pair no. 2, and the first with bare toes. More pants are in my future. If I get good at them, I'm thinking etsy may be in my future. I have a shop name reserved....

I hand sculpted Ash's head and chainsaw from Super Sculpey. The belts are from Milliput. I hand painted the whole piece too.

He will be placed on an original, backer card soon.

This is the fanciest out of five that I made, it features the chantry symbol I developed. I might give them to the players who belong to our chantry-perhaps in the future it would act as a key to get through any wards set up.

I ran out of organic eggs, but have a bazillion plastic eggs. I wasnt satisfied with the eggs I'd done so far. I saw a picture of something in polymer with paisleys, and dots and bubbles. I also got a set of "pearl and etch" tools from the Studio line of Sculpy (I think it was one of those products that I saw the paisleys but could not find the image again when I went to look). This egg is a neutral taupe color then coated in mica powders, and highlighted with polishing wax

These peices are my first attempts with metal clay. They are all from one 200g pack of Prometheus Bronze Clay. I formed them by rolling soft clay into molds which I made from sculpy clay imprinted with various plant materials. My release agent was olive oil. The larger peices are (hopefully) going to be pendants and the bottom five are (hopefully) going to end up as a single bracelet. I am pretty happy with them at this point, but I am a little apprehensive about my first firing. I will probably start with a couple I am less happy with and make sure the process works as planned. Any thoughts? Anybody have much experience with Prometheus Bronze Clay? I am very new to this process and will take any criticism, tips, or tricks. Thanks!

My first attempt at a sculpy Miho. Not yet really happy but I learned a lot!

well, karuzo taking some time alone before he gets into the molding process...

He got some jaw surgery and several details (as you can see on the white color)

I'm a pretty impatient person, I wanted to see how she would look with a faceup and if I should enlarge her eyes or not.

My awesome boyfriend made me this awesomely cute Catbug from Bravest warriors! :D

So here are all the tools done and ready. I'm not entierly happy with the bulb looking one. I have posted in this album photos of the concept drawing and original costume. I could not find anything in my searching that resembled it except xwing pilot data cylinders. I'd like to think that it is some form of data cylinder. I will continue searching and replace it when I find a better match. I made this one out of sculpy bake clay. All the tools have bullet parts for the top for a consistent look. I just used wooden dowel rods for the bases. then pen parts and whatnots scrounged from my husband's workshop. He helped me with drillng holes and cutting metal parts. He is glad I'm done and not rummaging through his stuff anymore. "No you can't use that." was said often.
