T-Rex inspired dinosaur living in a zoo and on a special diet of donuts. (T-Rex has short arms and would have a hard time eating an unlimited amount of donuts.)

I built this model over 40 years ago as a prop for a Super 8 film project. Over the years it got pretty beat up and lost some teeth. I made the missing teeth out of Sculpy, then sanded and primed it. I finished it with Krylon Gloss Dover White, shaded it with raw umber water based oil, then dull coated it.
This sculpture is based upon the creature in the piece "Shoot The Bird, Stab The Snake, Steal The Egg, and Eat His Bread." It is an important symbol in the painting and so I wanted to 'bring it to life'.

Hers my 1974 Flintstone Rock Cruncher by AMT model company
I finally got my model done ive had this since around 1984 bought by my grandma I painted it then horribly but saved it through the 28 years.
It was so bad damaged with the paint I did so I soaked it for 3 days in brake fluid to get all the paint off then sanding it as best I could I was missing 2 pieces Fred’s arm which my friend lance made me another and the dinos arm which I just made out of sculpy.
So I always wanted the crane and canopy that Fred sits in so here’s my take made out of card board and tooth picks and pieces of wood with a canvas sides and top
Fred’s legs and arms were always off model so I didn’t use because I needed him to sit upright and I used the stone clay I used on the barney copter to make the crane wheels and I cloth string for the rains and rubber bands for the canopy holder
Its still really rough in freds face and around the dinosaur but it’s been through a lot in the past 28 years so here’s a rebirth to a really rare Flintstone collectible these are extremely hard to find these days
Hope I find more there’s 3 models to this series I have another in the cabinet Fred in a log car
So I want to make more this took about 2 weeks of and on in my spare time also I tried to take pics as I was working on it but kept forgetting there’s some stages like the patching I did on it and painting

O.K., I couldn’t control my self.
It also makes a great fake granite.
This large cuff has a 'Sculpy Ultralight' core, and the granite veneer.
It is lighter than paper mache. My friends call it ‘The Wilma’

My brother and I had the Aurora kit in the early seventies. I loved the vacuum formed plastic bases that those old kits had. Atlantis doesn't include those in their new releases of these kits so I decided to make one. I used a piece of foam for the hill, then covered it with sculpy bake clay. I covered the whole thing in wood glue (except for the rocky areas), then poured dirt on it. The grass is paint brush bristles, and the trees are cheap toy palms I got on eBay.
My son wanted to be Spiderman in 2002.
First time I ever sewed Lycra. The webbing on the costume is aluminized silicon caulk.
I made the eye covers out of wrap around sunglass lenses and Sculpy clay.
I made this little girl for teddybearomg's new dal, Tezca (who she renamed Stella)
She's about 3cm tall, her eyes are stuffed with aluminum foil and she is made from sculpy.
She also has innards.... hmm?
I am a liiiitle bit weird. Only a little though. ;)

A shot of the backpack and class ring. I even made the little emblem on the backpack. and the background. lol
Its not that I want to make absolutely everything by hand its just we dont have a good craft store or fabric store here so I have to break out the sculpy and just make stuff myself. :P
Some incredibly late pictures of Darjeeling's Halloween Splicer mask. I made it from Sculpy and acrylic paint.

I created this crucifix using sculpy, which I then painted and affixed to a balsa cross I made. This will be used in our Catechesis program at church in the diorama of the Last Supper as we examine the parallels between the last supper and the Holy Meal in the Mystery of Communion. It is modeled after the crucifixes found in Orthodox altars. This one, in total, is about four inches tall.
Mornings bring me deeply back to myself and the spiritual connection I have with Spirit.

My 2 1/2 year old loves the Little Einsteins TV show, and loves playdoh. I happened to have some clay that can be shaped and baked. So I took about an hour making a sculpture of the spaceship "Rocket" from the TV show, using nothing more than my hands and a paperclip to sculpt it, and pictured is the result.
only thing left to do is bake it for a few hours and give it a little bit of paint :-).
taken with my EOS M and 22mm lens at f/2.

My first doll I made.
This doll (my first) came alive as I was first trying to learn how to make spirit dolls. Spirit dolls are dolls made from many different mediums (clay, sculpy, wood, rocks, cloth, paper, etc). They reflect a part of the artist and usually have much to say. After I made this doll, I sat down with her and allowed her to speak to my heart. The poem is what she said. I was awe struck that such clarity and voice came from within me. I also know that she is honest when she speaks about who I am.
CRYSTAL
I am fun and joy.
I am clarity and openness.
I am seen as I am,
Without frills or pretense,
never hidden or covered.
I have sad and joyful eyes.
open wide to see clearly,
looking deeply,
and easily to be seen.
Tears freely come.
I have an open mouth
full of laughter and song.
I am full of praise and wisdom
speaking truth to my own soul
and to others.
My feet are bare
ready to dance,
big feet easily baring
all the weight I will carry.
They carry me where I must go.
I have open arms with hands lifted high
to admonish. teach, receive,
to welcome, to hold , to heal,
to drum, to dance
and clap with joy.
My name is crystal
and I carry the name about the neck.
The crystal is a tiny mountain rock
that has been blessed ~ by time and adversity
and has become a shining stone.
You too are a mountain rock,
Solid and strong
But clear and shining.
You are blessed by time and adversity
and have become crystal clear !
